Whilst silly season sorry i mean agent's marketing and rumour mill is upon us, i am hoping to try and stay away from usual media outlets and instead rely upon Wonderman's consolidated and considered updates
What about Marcelo Flores? I thought he was destined for great things? Still expected to be on loan next season?

I wonder how easy it's going to be to get game time for developing lads like Flores, does he want to come back and play in FA / Careless Cup and the reserves league- at 20 I guess it'll be 1 more year on loan and take stock. What about Marcelo Flores? Just remember another cross Atlantic signing to raise money for the Kroenke US soccer team... Austin Rusty I mean Auston Trusty!
Looks like the reserves out v Wolves with renewed contracts resulting in injuries
Tomi and Saliba should be ready for pre-season
From BBC summary of Arteta press conference.
"Arsenal may need to monitor the fitness of Reiss Nelson, who missed the defeat at Nottingham Forest through illness, plus Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.
Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Mohamed Elneny remain sidelined."
So Holding on the wing for his last Arsenal match?

Losing the lead of the League still hurts, but I think if this was offered at the beginning of the season, second place and only 5 points back, most fans would have bitten your hand off.
Kudos to the poster who was confident of second back in September last year.
We rode some luck, had some bad decisions but also some good ones. I think second feels fair.
Good lord I’m looking forward to hearing Champions Leauge Music again next year!!

Yep, summed it up for me there too. Kudos to the poster who was confident of second back in September last year.

Didn't win anything, a complete capitulation, it's trophies that count. No one cares who comes second.
What a bizarre / ungracious / unpleasant post. Very PH I suppose.Arsenal have done very well this season and got a top 4 spot which helps attract better players, now they need to invest wisely to get to the level to win things.
From 24 points off top to 5 is quite the improvement

It depends on the type of fan you are, the mighty Gooners and their happy fans roll back into Europe in FOUR MONTHS.Spuds start their relegation campaign around the same time.
It's a whole new world.

If we did the same again next year, I would be very happy to be in the run in with 5-10 games to go..

I'm disappointed too, and I also agree it's a missed opportunity, just like 2016 were we should of beat Leicester to the title. That said, unlike 2016 this is still a giant step forward.
We have the youngest squad in the league, the least rotated team in the league (read smallest squad) and our objective this year was to get top 4, whether that's a trophy or not, and we are 17 points clear of that (with a 15 point uplift on last season), it is another £30m+ in revenue and makes the club more attractive to sponsors and players.
There are plenty of things to be positive about, even without a trophy. We should be winning silverware in most of the next 5 seasons.
Interestingly, Arsenal only scored 6 goals less than Man City over the 38 games - 94 to 88. That's a stat that crept up on me seeing as it appeared City were winning nearly every game 5-0 and Haaland got nearly 40 of them.
Good foundations to build on, back in the Champions League, hopefully we can attract some top players and take that momentum into next season.

Some interesting stats in case suffering withdrawal.
In other news season ticket renewals are out, now with 22 games rather than 26, with lower tier up 6% and upper tier up 4%, but they console us that it's cheaper as paying for less games...but we can sign up to cup scheme to auto-buy our seats for home FA Cup and Chumps league knock out if we get that far...so more expensive as will be at full category related prices
Access will be digital only no cards next season, no doubt tracking our movements (which mine will say FFS make the pies available at more than one place on lower tier thanks, stick the manky school dinners level nachos, pizza and hot dogs up yer price gouging butts).
In vacuum that has replaced match day "presers" the rumour merchants and misleading title exspurts are at ShatBot full spam with pretty much us signing everyone and noone and us pressing for the title or relegation next year according to pundits who need to generate hits until the Euro qualifiers.
Villa compete with Toon for Tierney has legs given Arteta clearly wants him out, mutterings about not understanding his foreign accent and offending him with his paleness is something I just made up but will no doubt make a headline "Language barrier puts player at bottom of managers pick list" "Player seeks English lessons to save career!"
The July US preseason has us playing MLS Allstars (should that be EPL old boys?), Man Utd and Barca with a training camp at the Adidas HQ in Germany before they go, which is nice.
In other exciting home news I had my clock end coin (paid for with reward points) pop through the post, limited edition of 1935 apparently...except you can also buy them direct from the company here: https://www.zenithcoins.com/product-page/the-offic...
