Villa compete with Toon for Tierney has legs given Arteta clearly wants him out, mutterings about not understanding his foreign accent and offending him with his paleness is something I just made up but will no doubt make a headline "Language barrier puts player at bottom of managers pick list" "Player seeks English lessons to save career!"
I find that hard to believe given that Arteta spent a few seasons in Glasgow at Rangers.

RIP Ricefrownphonesperm we edge closer to actually making an offer to champions of Europe for Ricesleep

In some actual news Former Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin is heading back to Spain, re-joining Real Betis. Hope he can stay fit and enjoy some football.

Saliba and Reiss-Nelson nearly sign contracts (thought we'd already done Reissconfused )

Some porridge stirring with yet another link to Leicester...this time Timothy Castagne for RB cover...

And still Gundogen waffle continues, please stop

Oh and we nearly signed Deeney...according to er Deeney

From 442.. "Rice likely won't sign any contract at the Emirates Stadium until after England's Euro 2024 qualifiers* against North Macedonia and Malta this month." other reports that they want ESR as part of the deal and Rice himself saying he's staying at Spam

*Malta vs England – June 16, 2023, 7.45pm KO
England vs North Macedonia – June 19, 2023, 7.45pm KO

So another week or so of moan before we put a £29 and a case of Camden Ale bid in.

Swear it's only ever us where this drags on and on.

Suppose it's a month before pre-season, so as long as it's 90% done by that point it's all good.

Wouldn't surprise me. Cheaper and more versatile alternative to Mount, wouldn't be the worst backup for Saka.

he also has international marketing appeal going into next year's Germany tournament.

At home to Forest to start the season, and hosting United in our 4th game. LFG.

Have you seen the prices being quoted, he's only got 2 years left on his contract £60 to £75m being bandied about, as was posted elsewhere I hope we are winding Chelsea up but Agent Jorginho is leading the charm offensive...

Joao Cancelo rumbles on, if Pep thinks he's a bit of cock I'm not sure Arteta would have a different view.

The dust blown off the annual "Ruben Neves’ agent Jorge Mendes is looking to entice Arsenal into making a move for the Wolves starlet this summer."

We've had our first offer for Rice rejected (a "lowball" £90m) and now Citeh are to join the race for Rice *yawn* apparently.

Tbh I'm more interested in the lack of news on the defender front, but I guess that is never as sexy and anything Rice is clickbait gold for the "media" currently.

Yeah I've seen the prices now, and it really feels typically skewed against Arsenal.

Why do we never seem to get a bargain? When we're buying why does the price only ever go up? When we're selling the fee only ever seems to go down?

When we were first linked with Mount it was looking at £60m-£70m, now we aren't United are in for him at £40m? Err what?

Havertz "rated" at £50m-£60m with a view to revive his career and now we're potentially in for him it's "£75m is too low" and "player in his prime". Come again? Bellingham was only a few mil more.

Rice was £70m not long ago. We're now talking £90m-£100m PLUS a player. I mean, if it was Mari or Tavares maybe but they're talking ESR. If Havertz is a £80m player, ESR is £50m. That puts Rice as the 3rd most expensive transfer ever.

God I hate transfer windows. wobble

It's a carefully crafted media fog created by the Arsenal lads to hide the fact that we are signing three new defenders hehe

Rice is just a matter of time in my opinion before he signs, however Havertz I seriously don't get.
Have the club not seen this guy play for the last few season, I don't care if he's been played out of position, he is a waste of money and won't offer any thing more to what we don't already have.
No way we should be spending £60+m on this guy.

Really hope we don't sign this guy and spend the money elsewhere.
