Been taught a lesson over these two legs and in fairness previous round you could see the experience counted. They’ll learn a lot from this…felt like we needed to take more risks once Bayern had scored…

Definitely doesn’t hurt as much as the league loss, I don’t think any fan expected us to get that far, happy to be through the group stages and last 16. Bayern in a CL knockout game was always going to be a tall order.

Maybe it’s just a hangover from watching the last decade, but even when we’re free scoring it never really feels like we’re dangerous in the same way that other teams can be.

Anyway. Onwards and upwards, barring some absolute disaster CL football is there for another year.

Lack of anything up front tonight surely has to be looked at during the summer. As said we paid for last weeks mistakes.

Even though I knew we would lose, this was painful. Certain family members, who I don’t particularly like. Are from Munich and are Munich fans. I hate Bayern Munich, never liked them club. This hurts.

And I still blame Raya.

Oh well..........

Of the 4 teams left, I'd like to see BD win it.

Yes there is definitely a hangover and it will take most fans 3-4 consistent, good years, at least, to get over the previous decade, going back to Obafemi Martins in the league cup final (approximately).

However, there is more to it than that, in the Premier League this season we have been quite good right? But...Bukayo Saka is 10th in terms of league goals, the next AFC player is Havertz, 21st overall with 9 goals. As you have eluded to, that's not dangerous by any stretch of the imagination. That's not a criticism (I live and die Arsenal), but it is the truth.

We’ve definitely shown we need a proper striker in the summer now. Jesus should be back-up for Saka next season so we don’t continue to run him into the ground 90 minutes of every game.

Zinchenko can go and I’d be happy if we use that and the money saved on not buying Raya on a striker.

Not sure who else should be for the exit door, maybe viera.

Smith rose will probably go though. So between zinchenko, smith Rowe and not buying Raya we’d have £100m-ish in the kitty for striker and at least one other

A dull exit from a dull competition, I'm not bothered. Unfortunately we'll be in it again next year, more dull games to watch.

Yeah bit gutted. I hate that with Arsenal it always all seems to come at the same time.

Jury is out on if going out of competitions slowly throughout the season is better though. Oh well, onto summer ...

I'd largely agree but there is absolutely no way we aren't signing Raya. Reiss can go too. One of ESR and Vieira, and I'd rather keep ESR. Eddie could go too.

I'd love Watkins in, but got a feeling we'll be taking a punt on someone. Not sure it'll be Toney at this point either.

We probably need another winger and to start thinking about a versatile midfielder to slot in to cover.

Rumour mill seems to suggest we've gone off the idea of Toney (likely as we'll need to pony up cash anyway to buy Raya from Brentford) and can't see Villa selling Watkins this summer (unless FFP forces them to)

Really though? How many of the games are actually exciting? The first round games are normally dull, it's not until the last 8 things actually get interesting and even then the games are dull, both games last night were poor. Two legged ties are naff. Very few really memorable games in Champions League. Yes I'd love Arsenal to win it, but I'd much rather watch the Prem or even the FA cup.

Look at our defensive record, do we really want to sell any of our defenders?
