That's a high point for most football fans.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story. The draw at Chelsea was irrevalent. All Leicester had to do was win one of their last 2 games to win the league whatever the Spurs result. They won both.
No they didn't. But it was irrelevant, as Spurs went into meltdown, and ended up being the first team in history to finish 3rd in a 2 horse race rofl

Falling over on the concrete terrace while fetching the ball at Bromley FC. What's worse, I was watching Cray Wanderers thumbup in a goalless draw with Carshalton.

Sorry, but have to agree a bit with mr pg here, I have never undestood those who buy into the "Chelsea draw cost Spurs the title" brigade, it was just a good B****cks headline at the time, if Spurs had won that game, it would have made no difference to the title, the simple fact is Spurs lost 2 out of the last 5 and the Gooners and Leicester didn't and the first team in in History to drop a place in the last few games, really????.......... don't be daft

City were top for a dozen games that season and Arsenal were top at Xmas. Spurs challenge was over when Leicester beat them with a very late Huth header. But facts and history shouldn't get in the way....

Mr pg said Leicester won their last 2 games. That was the only thing he said. They didn't. So you can agree with him if you wish, and then you'll be wrong too.

Euro 96 Semi final penalty shootout.

Cheers Gareth.

In recent times the 2018 CL final wasn't much fun.

No, that's not the only thing Mr pg said, read his post again and then read what I said, "I agree with him a bit" that bit being about the draw with Chelsea not being the reason that Spurs didn't win the title, I didn't mention Leiceseter winning the last 2 games, which I know they didn't, only about Spurs losing 2 out of their last 5 games

I feel guilty mentioning Augero’s last minute goal against QPR compared to some of the others in here. That’s mine though, I’ll never forget anything about that. The Champions League finals against Barcelona weren’t anywhere as bad for me because we lost to possibly the best club side to have existed, at least in my time. No shame in that.
Does Augero come above Ludek’s greatest game for West Ham in 95? World beater that day.

I’ve been to Wembley 5 times and never seen my team win.

But the worst but is when your club give up on having ambition.

I was thinking Millwall for the Wembley one, but they beat Swindon 1-0 in the League I play offs in 2010, and the ambition one sounds like West Ham.
Can’t imagine someone who has ever followed both of those clubs.

Northern Ireland v England WC qualifier at Windsor Park in 1985.

As a result of the hooliganism that plagued England matches in those days, no tickets were allocated to English fans but my pal and I went over to Belfast anyway figuring we'd get them from a tout. Incredibly though we managed to win a pair of tickets on a radio phone-in contest on the morning of the match. That was the highlight of the day.

Our tickets were standing on the Spion Kop and from beginning to end it was the most ferocious violence I've ever seen at a game. Largely because the N Irish boys were fighting among each other and goading the riot police to come onto the terrace (by throwing bottles and rocks at them for 90 minutes) in order to fight them too. It was totally random and we both ended up taking a fair few sucker punches despite not wearing anything that identified us as England fans. Everyone on that terrace was involved whether they wanted to be or not.

I remember us getting back to our B and B after the game, covered in blood and bruises and just laughing at what we'd witnessed and that we were still alive. To this day it was the last time I followed England away from home other than at a tournament itself.
