I have only been able to see a few games, but he does seems to be able to pull saves out of the bag but it’s the basic easy ones he cocks up.
Almost all of them are saves any other PL keeper would make. GKs at this level are mostly judged on minimising errors that cost goals because they’re all amazing shot stoppers. DDG is perhaps particularly amazing, but that’s only worth a few goals per season. ORD said:

He hasn’t been outstanding for a few years now, his bottle has gone, he is scared to throw himself at the feet off attackers It’s sad to see, but you have 2 good replacements in Henderson and Romero who deserve a decent run in the team. J6542 said:

Romero is on his way as it happens, slipped right down the pecking order, bit of a shame as he's been a fabulous stand in. Heard exactly the same about Giggs and select a n other long term member of the squad over the years, familiarity breeds contempt is the saying. DDG should go nowhere.
Us fans, well we are never properly right. Giggs, Scholes, either Neville as fans we’ve wanted shot of when they’ve dipped in form, Evans and Simpson went and have won the league. Michael Keane was man of the match in the Merseyside derby as captain of Everton in their first win at anfield for decades on Saturday. How’d he be doing alongside bailly? LVGs incompetence saw for Keane and evans.
We write off players far too quickly. As for DDG when was van der sar at his peak? Schmeichel? Buffon? Shilton? Fritzel? Statistically he’s Europe’s best ever keeper, not for clean sheets though, that aside, It was not 30. Which where DDG is. Get rid of 10 years of training and investment, multiple player of the year trophies because he’s dipped in form? Not yet. He’s worth buttons right now.

Seams a shame he was never given a proper chance, I know he played cup ties and I don’t watch all your matches, but I don’t remember seeing him make a mistake. A good confident keeper, does wonders for the defences confidence too.
Seams? He’s good but he can’t sow. Romero’s been absolutely fantastic for United and he’s now being released as we’ve 3 keepers that mean he will not be missed, at least not on the pitch. He signed, without an ego, never expecting to be first choice at the end of his career. He always Excelled and elongated his international career as a result. I doubt he regrets his time at United. Apart from stacking his Lamborghini during rush hour.

I see your point. But the dip has lasted years now and is pretty fundamental. His bottle is gone. He’s got no courage. Us fans, well we are never properly right. Evans hasn’t won the league elsewhere. He went to West Brom and then signed for Leicester in 2018. They won the PL in 15/16Us fans, well we are never properly right. Danny Simpson barely played a match for us and left us when he was 23 in 2010, so was it Ferguson’s incompetence letting him go? Danny Drinkwater would have been a better example, as he did win the league, but never played for us. You may as well reference David Platt, Pique or Zaha, or any number of other examples.
Every club has stories of the player they let go, who then went on to be a major success elsewhere. Newcastle let Shearer go, we let Pogba go and so on.
I’ll just add some more names. Depay, Beardsley, Keane, Ince, Stam, Beckham. All class acts who went elsewhere and won things.
Questions are rightly being asked about DeGea. He’s not the keeper he was, he reminds me of the player we had in the first season who was easy to bully and let in soft goals amongst making some great saves. However, our issue remains the central defensive set up. We need a quicker player in there with either Maguire or Lindelof, personally I prefer Lindelof, but money talks here.

For 3 or 4 seasons de Gea produced a level of shot stopping I don’t think I have seen before ,but he never bosses the area .
The centre halves drop deeper than they need to because he doesn’t command his box and this causes issues .
It’s hard to judge because Henderson has played against weaker teams but based on that we look more composed with Henderson hence why I think he needs a run .
We won’t know unless he’s given a chance .

I think it's forgotten how good Henderson was for Sheffield United and was a massive reason they had a solid defence and were able to do as well as they did last season. They've been nowhere near as good this year at the back without him there. Henderson commands the box far better than DDG does and has the bks to put his body on the line to make a save which DDG doesn't. DDG might be a better shot stopper in certain instances but I don't think he's as good an all round keeper as Henderson is/can be. It would be criminal if Henderson was to go and then have to fork out millions for a new keeper when DDG leaves.
DDG has been incredible for us but imo it's time to move on.
