Listen to all you moaning Nellies. Negativity all the way. We’re on a roll, that’s three games on the trot where we’ve delivered the 0 goals that we set out to. Fantastic performance. What’s even more pleasing is that we managed to nearly not have a shot on target too. Brilliant. Obviously, Matic will be fined a week’s wages for that.
We’ve now scored 0 in a quarter of our games this season
It’s just brilliant.
Roll on City, I reckon we can go one better and not have a shot on target all match.

Six draws and a loss to Sheffield Utd since we went top. Appalling performances, too.
You’re not allowed to say stuff like that. It has to be positive or you’re not a fan. Performances don’t matter, it’s just about winning (even when we can’t buy a win). Of course someone will mention that occasionally we win a game, so therefore everything I’ve said is bks and we’re great. Frimley111R said:
Dire game last night. We've come apart, there didn't seem to be any linked up play, just the players doing their best but being unco-ordinated. OGS has to sort this, we have amazing players but a far from amazing team ATM.
That's how it's been for a long time but individual brilliance in some games has saved us. Ole isn't good enough tactically imo and when teams sit back we look clueless and can't break them down. We were truly awful last night.Bruno and Rashford look knackered though which begs the question as to why they we're near the ground for the Sociadad game last week.
How many of the last 6 has Matic played?
It's really not the worlds biggest mystery is it, we know Martial isnt good enough and Mason is having a bad run, that leaves the goal threat up front to Rash and Cav
Bruno has been carrying the team for a while
All of our mids our injured barring our 2 least creative certainly hasn't helped
We knew and have known coming into this season that we over relied on Bruno, we assumed DvB was brought in to help here but he is out and hasn't had a run
Amazingly we miss Pogba
I would rather have seen Ole let one of the kids have 30 mins last night though, if the first 11 can't be arse, threaten their place with a young upstart, its done wonders for Shaws game having some genuine competition

If Rashford is so knackered why is his game to think he’s Pele? He tries to run past every player, then come back and do it again and only if he’s made it to the goal line will he attempt to shoot. Our team and each player has become very one dimensional.
I said a while ago that I was enjoying the run but that we couldn’t keep relying on Bruno’s brilliance. Now he’s having a dip in form it shows how few players we have to pick up the slack.

So for all the wannabe managers who know better than Ole or think they do, what would be your plan of attack against city this weekend?
Stifle it for another draw
Hope for a lucky goal by flooding midfield and defense?
Try and play a normal game and see if we can match city? (Unlikely currently)
DDG or Hendo in goal?
Maguire /Bailly/Lindy or all 3?
Cavani upfront alone or two up with Rash?
Fire away plus your predictions.
I'm going DDG , Bailly and Maguire, 5 man midfield and one up. 1-1

I’d play 4-4-2
Henderson
AWB Bailly Lindelof Shaw
Greenwood McTominay Fernandes James
Rashford Cavani
Then after that I’d suggest the team try two things. Firstly pass to someone not in a sky blue shirt, secondly to move around a bit when not on the ball.
Pretty much every measure suggests we’re going to lose, I’d like to see us try not to and to try to show some attempt at playing the game, rather than trying not to score. Doesn’t matter how much we pack midfield they’ll still be able to pass it through us.
I think we’re going down 3-0

All you can ask is they give a genuine 100%. City have more technically gifted players overall but we can and will turn up occasionally on big days.
Nothing has changed for us in terms of being lacking in a couple of areas, hopefully they'll show they have some fight in them even if it doesn't make any difference in terms of the season.

Aren't those 3 options actually all your 'normal game'... sitting back, packing the defense and hoping for a fluky goal/pen on the break?Stifle it for another draw

What alternative tactics or game plan has Ollie ever used other than that? I'm no aware of any.
