Levy won’t sell Kane to United. It’s almost as likely as him selling him to Arsenal.
Levy won't sell Kane at all unless he has a Kane Mk 2 wonderkid somewhere under wraps in the dugout. He can't afford to lose Kane or Son this summer, the wheels would fall off the Spurs wagon completely.IMO its going to be a fairly quiet window in terms of big ticket moves.
I don't see Haaland, Mbappe, Neymar or Kane moving. Sancho maybe. I could see Ronnie going back to Madrid though.
Bale's golf handicap is going to come down a fair bit in the next year or so too.

Maguire, Lindelof, Bailly & Tuanzebe.Whilst not ideal, I think that's a pretty solid 4 of centre backs to be honest
We need a striker. In the Ruud mould for me this summer.

Haaland has a release clause of 68m next summer which surely will mean he stays put another year...

No reason why we shouldn't take him for a year or two. I'm sure he's be excellent to have around the training ground.

We’ve got this Fish lad and Mengi coming through as well and we’ve good cover at full back. Maybe an full back attacking option to put pressure on AWB but he is improving in that area.

The last thing we need is a Ruud type striker IMO. We became very one dimensional with him and it was all about getting the ball to him, with little else happening. We need strikers who will score around the 20 mark, but have 3 or 4 other players wading in with 10-15 goals too. The 92/93 team was brilliant for this. Teams didn’t know who to mark, or how to cope with the fact that goals could and did come from everywhere as the team swept forward as a unit. We need a striker. In the Ruud mould for me this summer.

Whisper it and it will split the forum I am sure but I can see Ronaldo coming back to United this summer particularly if Cavani goes because as you say very few big ticket moves are unlikely to happen.

Not for me. I think the PL is too physical for him now. As much as he’s a true idol, I wouldn’t want him sullying his reputation by being outplayed. He’d do a good job in Spain for Real. Haaland has a release clause of 68m next summer which surely will mean he stays put another year...

Too physical? Touch another player now and it's a yellow! If anything it' getting more like netball, pass and run.franki68 said:
I just can’t see United spending the amount needed to get 3 top players that they realistically need to step up the next level ,given the current finances .
I agree. Teams won’t let their star players go on the cheap and few clubs have the money to shell out top dollar in this climate. I reckon it will be fairly quiet apart from City buying the replacements their squad needs. unident said:

In a 42 game league 92/93. Top scorer was Hughes with 15, Eric, Giggs and Maclair got 9, Ince and Irwin got 6. Bruce 5, Kanchelskis 3 the other 5 scorers got 1 a piece. It’s not the red arrows is it?
The team with Ronnie, Tevez and Rooney comfortably surpassed the 92/93 team which was great but of its time and the 2008 ECL win proved that. They we’re truly interchangeable..
The 1999 team was 442 and the end of that being a preferred formation as defences improved....Eric never cut it in Europe but the foreigner rule did for us, giggs, Keane and Irwin being considered foreign back then. In the league Cole and Yorke split 37 goals and Ole added 12. No midfielder added more than Beckham and Scholes at 6 goals each including Giggs who got 3.
Our front 3 is interchangeable now but we don’t have a young Cavani and martial isn’t cutting it. Ruud only went because Ronaldo became the man. Rashford is hitting the 20s consistently if Cavani isn’t staying then we need experience upfront until Greenwood is ready.
Ruthless proven mobile striker for me. Age not an issue as Greenwood will come good. Again all IMO.
Or we sign 2 more Bruno’s and Pogba stays!!

Is that not where we are now? I think you need to have a glance at the 92/93 team with out the rose tinted specs. I don’t have any non rose tinted ask somebody else! Given that I also researched it!

Ok, I got the year wrong, I was barely a school kid back then, but remember my dad going mental about how great it was to watch. If you look at 93/94 that’s more what I was going on about. Cantona & Hughes 20+, Giggs, Sharpe, Kanchelskis 10+ with 4 others scoring 5 or more. When goals are spread around like that it’s a nightmare to defend against. I’m not saying that was the greatest team ever, just that having goals spread around a team is far better than just having one target man. Ruud scored a truckload of goals, but in 4 years we only won 1 title with him leading the attack. It made us a bit too predictable IMO, hence why I’d rather not have an outright goal scorer who does little else for the team. In a 42 game league 92/93. Top scorer was Hughes with 15, Eric, Giggs and Maclair got 9, Ince and Irwin got 6. Bruce 5, Kanchelskis 3 the other 5 scorers got 1 a piece. It’s not the red arrows is it?

Having said that, I don’t really care if it gets us a title next season
I'm trying to find it again
I know Camavinga is on it cos I saw him on there and want him
This transfer market list doesn't have them all but does have some
Apologies it was players whos contracts are out in 2022 ergo they'll likely move this summer to avoid going for free and could be got relatively cheaply
