Defending is an absolute joke. Losing to this lot won’t do our confidence any favours.

DDG earns the right to play in the final thumbup
Earned the right to have some better defenders in front of him too. Guys keeping us alive tonight.

You're right about the defending but wont affect their confidence one iota.

Relief. Wasn't expecting that as the overwhelming emotion tonight. What a mess defensively, thank god De Gea had a good one. Just goes to show why Ole usually keeps two DM in front of the back 4, as soon as he doesn't we go to pieces.

Cavani though, eh. What a good signing, wasn't sure when we brought him in but my god I've underrated him. Top class.

Completely agree, I thought we’d got him in way down the decline of his career. Mind you, I also thought that about Ibra when we first signed him. Just imagine if we could get the next one as a whipper-snapper aged 28 or so!

In the 1st half I thought DDG was only doing so well because there was no pressure on the game but it certainly cranked up in the 2nd half and to be fair, he carried on being brilliant. He’s not turned in a performance better than that for a long time.

Pleased for the team and for Ole.
Fingers crossed for his first silverware.

I felt the same when his signing was first announced-but bugger me he’s good.
Shame we didn’t get him five years ago!

Nice to see Pogba and Ole on the pitch after the whistle having a happy moment.

At least it was worth watching tonight-it held my interest much better than a nil nil draw would have!

Nowhere near perfect or good enough to win a title yet but the team and its manager has come on leaps and bounds.

The fronts not too bad but the back is a big issue!

Seemed to go downhill in defence when we replaced both fullbacks at half time (why?!)

So we had only 1 of our usual back four

Also VDB is not looking great at all

Cavani is an absolute machine - loved hearing him saying "not offside, not offside" on his second goal
