I don’t either, new manager bounce whipped up to a frenzy, that’s Chelsea under Tuchel for me.
Can’t agree with the boring city though the football they’ve been playing is sublime. And in Phil Foden they have a gem. Fortunately an English gem .
I just find the whole tippy tappy sideways and backwards football depressingly boring. It’s like Liverpool in the 70s (according to my dad). I know there’s an attempt to score and fair play that’s more than most teams do, but it’s still mindnumbingly boring. Then play someone decent and we just give the ball away with poor passes when a simpler one would have done.

This type of game simply did not exist back then to the boring level it is now due to the pitches being so poor. Players actually tackled then further up the pitch, instead of all this ‘Don’t try and win the ball, but get back in formation, two banks of four’ rubbish we are subjected to.
Your lot had 64% of the ball yesterday. That’s a full hour of football (excluding added time and the lost time to throwing, free kicks etc) and only managed 3 shots on target from that. Two of those were after you went behind and in the last 5 minutes when you were chasing the game. That’s what I just don’t understand about this new football style, there’s no Plan B, let alone C, D, E, F etc. With less than two minutes to play the ball was still being passed sideways in midfield between three of your players when there was zero chance of any Leicester player coming out to try to win it from you. How any manager can encourage or tolerate this is mental. uk66fastback said:

'tackle ' ..what does this mean ? I vaguely remember a word like that from along time ago.unident said:

I don’t support anyone bud, so no skin in the game, so to speak.dickymint said:
Managed not to see any results until MOTD now - was absolutely gutted to see the dippers keeper nick it......until I realised Alisson's back story. Had a little man cry and opened another can of cider ....... well done lad
Yeah, stuff all the rivalry, I was bloody chuffed for him. Great header too!ORD said:
VAR strikes again. Rules out a good goal for West Brom.
Come off it, the offside player was a metre in front of the keeper and directly blocking his view of the ball as it was headed towards goal.In what world is that not interfering (other than BFSs)
And thanks for the nice sentiments on Allison, seems a lovely guy and a tough year

Not sure I saw the best view. I’m horribly biased against VAR now, to be honest. I hate it.
Anyway, cracking goal & story for the keeper.
It was very clear on MOTD2, though I hear you on VAR this call was right.Anyway, cracking goal & story for the keeper.
“Interfering with play” is another unnecessary over-complication of the offside rule, would like to see it scrapped or anything in the box is assumed to be interfering.
