fk that.
From Simon stone who is pretty reliable

‘ €78m bid from @ManUtd for Jadon Sancho turned down by BVB. They want €90 + 5 and a shorter repayment period than the five years suggested. That is not a massive gap but needs closing. Pre-existing gentleman’s agreement in place with player if fee met by right timescale.’

You'll get him this time.

Reckon you'll win the first loser race again next season.

You really are the most negative fan Ord, he's a top class player. Some clubs will never ever make a bid for a player like him or similar.
There's no one going to let him go for £40m that ship sailed 10yrs ago.

Better to be assumed an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt

If you really think that at £80 we are paying double then it's a wholly accurate statement TBF, it's also Lincoln's not mine

Anyway back to ignoring the troll

Ramos has signed an extension at Real Madrid apparently this makes it more likely that Varane will be off and we are closely linked, anyone watch RM know of he is any good still?

Anyone who disagrees with you is a troll. You would do well as a 17 year old snowflake.

I don’t think Sancho is worth what we will end up paying. The market is dead. We will pay a pre-pandemic price for a player that nobody else is trying to buy.

We spent £50m on Fred.

€90m would make him one of the most expensive players in history. He’s had a good season or two in a second rate league.

Is there a single player in the world you don't constantly moan about or criticise or belittle their value Ord?
I get the impression nothing will ever make you happy about Utd or even football unfortunately .

I'll leave it there as it's not worth an argument about footballer values, the market dictates what we pay. Many many footballers for many clubs have turned out to be fantastic buys for record fees, and equally the opposite is true.

Back to incoming players we need to spend big money on a defender and midfielder rather than just the one big signing so let's hope the Glazers are up for appeasing the fans after the recent shenanigans

I think a CB is a given we've been linked with a good few and reckon we'll get one

Mid is a bit more worrying not seen us linked with many at all

Verane would be my first choice as he’s played at the top level in huge games and will bring a wealth of experience to the team. I think he would be a great partner to Maguire. If we can pick him up for the £40 million that’s been banded about then it would be a cracking buy imo.

I'd take any of them as I'm just not convinced Bailly can stay fit for more than 3 days concurrently

Tripper talk is interesting, amongst all the mockery about Ole playing AWB at CB was some sense spoken about it being in a 5 at the back to allow us to change shape

I think there is a lot of sense about AWB in a back three. He's quick, tall and we all know he can defend! A back 3 of AWB Verane and Maguire would be very solid and the addition of Tippier (and Laird as his back up) would add a great attacking threat down the right along side Sancho wink

I agree. He could be an excellent buy.

Are we allowed to play 16 in our team next year?

It’s just we’re playing 5 at the back 4 upfront and we seem to be wanting another two midfielders to work with the 4 we already use

Haven't you spent half the season banging on about Ole being poor tactically and not changing things up in a game?

So we shouldn't sign players to improve the squad and give us options now?

Assuming we get Sancho and a defender (I’ll use Verane in my example) then I’d go with…

Henderson

AWB Verane Maguire
Trippier Shaw (wing backs)
Pogba Bruno
Sancho Cavani Rashford

Decent line up to me smile

Or

Henderson
AWB Verane Maguire Shaw
Niguez
Bruno Pogba
Sancho Cavani Rashford

Would be nice too biggrin
