WTAF how was ba that far forward with no one on him, don’t think I’ve seen that for a longtime outside of Pub football
Last night Atalanta against the scousers ,I laughed at them leaving no one back at a corner ,never thought I’d see United do that,it’s not even Sunday football level.Edited by jonamv8 on Wednesday 4th November 18:15

Have you always been so Negative.
Compare Ole’s record to any other managers first period in time and he’s done pretty good.
And then some will say it’s not comparable... so then wtf is comparable
I’m on the fence and yes we could have got a more proven experienced manager but we havent so we need to back him while he’s here long or short term
I loved him as a player. I don’t think he’s management material, or at least not good enough for us, just as I think exactly the same of Bruce, Hughes, Robson, Strachan, and many others former players who’ve tried their hands at management. Records are irrelevant, progress is what matters. If you can see progress in our results, team formations, tactics etc then your glass must be overflowing with optimism.
The young signings now on the books are outstanding and will deliver when stadiums are full again

What is going on at the back? Defence look shocking
Well done Tony he made that look easier than it was
To be fair I don't think it's the back 4 thats the issue - midfield is offering nothing in protection. Matic is having an absolute mare, would love to see his pass completion that half but it's been shocking. He is out of place defensively too, its a horror show from him. Mata should never be receiving the ball where he did too, such an easy target for them to press.Well done Tony he made that look easier than it was
On the plus side we have the firepower to turn it around, but we need to change up the midfield to get that balance back. 5 subs isn't it? So I'd be having Matic and Mata off for McT and Fred at this point. Then Cavani, Greenwood if we aren't back level by 60.

I’ve said repeatedly that Ole is in the job to lead us through a painful period whilst we lay foundations for future success. That is happening.

Rather than quote me you could quote any of the last dozen posters as they all seem to agree with what I’ve been posting. They waited for it to happen though, I just happened to see it coming a mile off. The young signings now on the books are outstanding and will deliver when stadiums are full again
There will probably be a positive reaction this half now but it will just hide the problems we have.

We are far from the finished article that’s obvious. But this isn’t normal footy as we know it right now. Return to normal timelines no one knows.
Ole was brought in to appease the OT crowd whilst we underwent a huge squad rebuilding

Mate, you moaned about no one engaging with you. I’m trying!

I wasn’t complaining about you engaging with me. It was more about pointing out how many others have agreed with my comments. I’m sorry, but this is unacceptable as a team as a club as whatever. Look at the goals. They’re a disgrace. You’d be embarrassed conceding them in an U12 team. We are far from the finished article that’s obvious. But this isn’t normal footy as we know it right now. Just to add that’s blown qualification wide open again. All the hard work of the precious two matches has been undone against the whipping boys of the group.

I’m going to quote this again and ask about these foundations. What are they? The young signings now on the books are outstanding and will deliver when stadiums are full again
We have one maybe two youth players in Greenwood and Tuanzebe (who’s as injury prone as Bailly on ice). Williams seems to have been fired off in favour of Shaw for some unknown reason. We’ve just signed a midfielder that Ole won’t play, a striker as old as my Nan. We don’t have any clear tactics or playing model.
I’m happy to be educated as to what these foundations are.
