Don't say it too loudly, but interesting stat Coufal and Cresswell got more assists than TAA and Robertson this season Finishing above the spuds and the gooners, awesome. So many positives. 6th place brings in £28m in prize money too. Europa League is £0.5m per group win and £1m+ for winning the group. Then £1m per win above that.

Well done lads. Mr Moyes & staff, take a bow. Superb.
Good three min piece on the season already up via the Club's SM & YouTube - worth a watch.
Sully's going to have to find his wallet

So how about our nominations for our player and moment awards
Player of the year
Save of the season
Goal of the season
Most improved
Best squad man
Best new addition
Best goal celebration
Good idea. Mine are:Player of the year
Save of the season
Goal of the season
Most improved
Best squad man
Best new addition
Best goal celebration
POTY: Rice
SOS: Fab vs the rest of the PL
GOTY: Lingard vs. Wolves
MI: Cresswell (despite now being our second longest serving current player)
BSM: Noble
BNA: Coufal
BGC: Og's look after his header vs WBA (having barely seen any of the games live I've not seen many celebrations)
Player of the year: Very, very difficult to separate Rice/Soucek/Coufal and Oggy. For not letting the weight of captaincy affect him at all,by a sliver I’d go for Rice.
Save of the season: The 1500 quid I’ve saved on beer and burgers by not going to the games.
Goal of the season: For the sheer WTF moment, Lanzini v Spurs.
Most improved: Fornals positionally he got better and better, on the ball he got better as well ( finishing didn’t though!).Cress also a good shout from TC but I think his improvement has been down to a formation that suits him more and having additional cover.
Best squad man: Nobes for his acceptance of not being a first pick and always saying/doing the right thing. Fredericks never let us down either.
Best new addition: The Chairman’s silence.
Best goal celebration: The whole squad and Moyes after Lanzini’s goal above.
Save of the season: The 1500 quid I’ve saved on beer and burgers by not going to the games.

I have to agree with most of that SJC, mine would be:
POTY: Soucek, I think he stepped up with goals and immense midfield performances at a time when we needed it mid season. Rice has been outstanding as SJC said but I think the sheer step up by Soucek has been huge. I love the things I read in the media about his general attitude, never say die, about being upset when we lose to City!
SOTS: SJC I cant claim that one but I actually liked in terms of preventing goals a few moments, when Rice sprinted back 70 yards to clear a certain goal and when Yarmalenko took a lean in on Bale at 3-2 down and stopped him scoring. But I think save of the season could be TV and making sure all games were available to watch all season!
GOTS: Lanzini against the spuds. It had everything, the game being 3-0 down, the come back, the timing of it with pretty much the last kick of the game, and the fact it was technically an amazing skill to hit it like that across his body outside right foot whilst being closed down. Take a bow son. In fact just watched the goal again, even the commentary is brilliant 'it comes out to Lanzzzinnniiiiiiiii'
MI: I thought Rice, I used the stepping up of Soucek above but I think most improved is Fornals. Can play him anywhere, always gives his best even if he has a bad game and his reactions to us scoring, even if he isnt scoring, is genuine kissing the badge enthusiasm for us.
BSM: Noble, end of
BNA: Dawson came in and had such a positive impact at the right time, Lingard obviously too. Im going for Coufal, that damn right back position finally, finally, sorted. You do wonder what you are getting for £6m or whatever we paid for a 28 year old Czech guy who isnt a guaranteed international, but wow did the PL suit his game - him and Cresswell, more assists than the much slobbered over by the media TAA/Robertson combo
BGC: Have enjoyed seeing Rice smile like a kid when he scores, Lingard slide with the hammer arms, but yes the sheer jubilation at that Lanzini goal, you could argue that moment there gave us that extra bit of belief this year will be our year

Marseille are in the Europa League.
Payet back at the OS?
That would be an interesting evenings booing.
Imagine if Marseille signed Arnie and they both ended up back at the OS Payet back at the OS?
That would be an interesting evenings booing.
To be fair on Payet, he had legitimate reasons to want to return home, just that he was very 'French' in the way he went about making it happen. Arnie on the other hand was just a greedy fk who tried to dress up his greed with excuses about dreaming of playing in China etc.

Air of inevitability that we draw them though - which'll be a tasty trip for the away fans.
