The media campaign against West Ham supporters has been quite extraordinary. I don't recollect such hysteria from them when Man Utd fans were wearing their green and yellow scarves or Newcastle fans waving Mike Ashley out banners. Moyes is seems is beyond criticism. Lineker, Shearer et al completely ignore that most supporters agree that over the four years he has done well but the league form over the last 18 months has been dreadful.
From the outside looking in......last I looked you were in 9th spot and since West Ham came back up from the Championship that looks about your average finishing position, maybe a bit better. Under Moyes you've been consistently top half of the table.

Moyes has managed to reestablish West Ham as a safe premier league team and also got the trophy monkey off the club's back.

But even immediately after that Europa League win there was "Moyes Out" noises - seems he was always considered not got enough by a section of supporters?

Do you think Lopetegui will get you say....top 6 on a regular basis and get you in the hunt for trophies?
No I don’t particularly. We probably need to go backwards before we go forwards.
I’d suggest with the massive rebuild required ( ironically a bit like when Moyes took over from Fergie),I’d happily settle for bottom half/mid-table/top half over the next three seasons “if” the football is such that I enjoy going again.Taking the cups seriously rather than throwing a league cup quarter final might help as well.

Jeez I only showed an interest in your club….and with all the noise about Moyes being replaced I thought I’d ask in here. Enjoy the lopetegui years!
Don't take it personally, we're normally a friendly bunch on this thread wobble It's just a sore point at the moment with just about every media person telling us we're an ungrateful bunch, getting above ourselves and to be careful what we wish for. hehe

I really am dumbfounded by the outpouring of other fans and the media...I havent seen this level of media nonsense since Boris declared 375m a week would be put into the NHS, and everyone falling for it.

Maybe a bit of mythbusting is in order, rather than listening to click bait on the likes of what has become the trash of football Talksport....

No, West Ham fans do not expect us to be playing dynamic football like Man City every week
No, West Ham fans do not expect Champions League football
No, there isn't some ridiculous binary outcome that is unique to our club where we either play turgid defensive football or play more attacking football and get relegated
No, we are not all dancing around a big fire with an effigy of Moyes on it chanting Lopetegui's name over and over
Yes, we do appreciate Moyes for winning the ECL
Yes, we did have good times under Moyes with some famous wins
Yes, we know there are uncertain times ahead because of the lack of squad building by Moyes has left us woefully short
Yes, we will probably struggle next season, but...
No, it wont be because we changed manager and...
Yes, you would be a mug to believe the media when they inevitably say it is

I do find it funny also that the ECL win which everyone laughed at us for winning, is now being held up and heralded as some sort of incredible achievement. Funny what people will say to validate a point of view.

No, I’m not going and I’ve got no real reason not to. But just shows me how low my interest in the team has dropped. Used to love the last game of the season, give the players and managers a decent send off (irrelevant of league position). My two lads used to love it too, after the game racing down to the front to get a close up glimpse of the players and families as they did the lap of honour etc.
But my lads aren’t going either, so I’m not alone in my indifference.
Now getting emails asking me to renew my ST almost daily, that’s my next big decision frown

Yep,to be honest I’m only really going as it’s likely to be my last with my son in a long time before he goes travelling, and we had beers/ lunch arranged with the two that sit next to us ( mind you they’ve blown out now!).
As you say, renewing is another conundrum,50/50 at the moment, mind you that’s better than it was recently!

Nope, off to Belgium - give DM a clap of thanks from me pls (and a volley of abuse if the players fk this one up).

Notes from the week: Haller & Scamacca will both play in the European Finals.

Villa out of the ECL - WH remain Massive.

I’ll be there - going with one of the Directors at work who has asked me a few times this year if I want to go but have had to decline each time.

I hope Moyes get a respectable send off, he did save us from relegation under Pelegrini and win a cup. It is time for a change but hopefully the boneheads in our fan base will keep quiet...

I think if the fans want to get other numbskull fans off their back, just give him a warm send off and that be that.

I got a horrible feeling though that a battling luton will be very much up for this...

I think it will go one of two ways:

The atmosphere is buzzing, the players are really up for it and we win comfortably.

or

It's end of term with a teacher you're not going to see again. Luton can't believe their luck.

Either way I think it would be great (ie a laugh) if Phillips, Ings and Cornet all start.
