Thiago's ankle doesn't look likely to be ready in time.

Agree on the fatigue. I do remember the comment on tv on Sunday talking about team selection etc and some of the reasoning being "because you don't want players having 2 weeks off before a game as they lose sharpness". Have to hope that plays a part.
I'd be more optimistic with Thiago and Fab fit. I would also put Firmino back in. If we're toothless up front put Diaz on in place of whoever is worst. They'll all be mentally fired up for this one though - Mo said as much when he said "we all wanted RM".
I would agree that 2 weeks off is probably more of a concern regarding readiness for a match. The only downside to that argument is that Real played on Friday, so would only have had a week off before the final. I'd be more optimistic with Thiago and Fab fit. I would also put Firmino back in. If we're toothless up front put Diaz on in place of whoever is worst. They'll all be mentally fired up for this one though - Mo said as much when he said "we all wanted RM".
I'd also keep Diaz in the back pocket for the latter part of the game, when the Real team may start to tire a bit.
Still a bit gutted about Sunday.
I'd convinced myself I'd written it off, but just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in. Again.
Thiago will be a big miss for us if he's out - he's probably been our best midfielder the second half of the season and seems to be assuming the role of something of a leader.

Completely. I felt crap yesterday, slightly less crap today. We came so close, it was almost surreal with 15 mins to go and City 0-2 down. Haven't even really been thinking of the CL final just yet - I reckon by Thursday, the nerves will slowly start to set in. When even the BBC says your club is rubbish, you know there's a problem:

They should have gone for Conte when they had the chance.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-6156...
The farce with Ragnick was unbelievable,Conte would have called out all the wasters and the board as well.
Maybe even got top 4.
Stood in the kop on sunday not sure i have experienced such a range of emotions over 90 min... i think the worst was when the rumour went round that villa had equalised to make it 3-3. unreal disappointment.
i just fear for saturday. without thiago we are fairly bereft of creativity in midfield. jota and salah looking off the boil.

And teams who roll over and collapse playing City, but then decide it's their 'cup final' v Liverpool. Why is this going to change next season.
Unlucky guys, no shame in losing out to them by a single point, another fantastic season for you. The quad is almost impossible, the fact you'll miss out by a single point or a single point and losing a CL final is still unreal.
