Not arsed what our wage bill is. I trust that the club has made the right decision on it.

For those thinking our wage bill has gone up massively weve just got rid of Mane (100k pw), Minamino (75k pw), Origi (60k pw) and Grujic (15k pw) - Total 250k pw gone

Salah old wage 200k pw. Salah new wage 350k pw.

Plus Nunez 100k pw.

New weekly wage increases - Total 250k pw up

Total salary increase NIL
Mane was on more than that according to his agent.
And you haven't taken into account the Coutinho wages ...

Good point, that was £500k a day wasn't it?

Salah does deserve to be the highest paid player at the club.

It's a lot of money though, there'll be a few getting on his back if he starts next season how he finished the last.

After he'd signed for Bayern? He might but the motive is diminished.

Justification purposes? Possibly.

I was told by a Utd supporting pal that we had folded and smashed our wage structure just to keep him.

He calmed down when I pointed out that he's on similar money to Sancho.

Careful, you'll be referred to as not terribly bright and plastic by the Salty bhes.

In terms of smashing structures few clubs can give us stick. Probably us and Tottenham have had the most sensible (if you can call paying lads millions to boot a ball round) wage structures that are sustainable for the club.

Examples at Everton, united, Chelsea, arsenal and of course city where they have gone a bit bonkers at times it seems.

Ultimately Salah is one of the best players in the world. We have decided to pay what he's worth and I imagine he's decided that he could make more elsewhere but the offer we have on the table is good enough given the way we play suiting him.

Ultimately it feels a bit weird as a red to have kept him, but it's great.

Gary Neville went fishing on Twitter earlier - suggesting Salah had "played" Liverpool. Of course he's since been inundated with people listing all the contract and transfer nonsense that Utd have done. Sancho is apparently on £350k a week too. Which beggars belief, frankly.

He'll probably have a good chortly into his afternoon latte, at least.

Gary Neville is all about self promotion. He's a pound shop piers Morgan, same as Gary linekar. They say stuff to desperately cling to some level of relevance. Fair play, it keeps them making good money for little effort.

I like his YT channel, he does some good interviews. Don't actually follow him on Twitter though, which seems to be full of celebs competing for attention.

Yesterday Neymar triggered an extension in his contract with PSG that means he's going to be getting paid a base salary of €700k a week until he's 35.

I think I read that Neymar, Messi and Mbappe will cost PSG over a quarter of a billion EVERY YEAR.

I think we're doing OK to give Salah £350k/week as a base. He does need to get back to his best next season though. And pass in the right moments.

PSG make a mockery of financial fair play. They make City look honest. Utterly bonkers. And they still haven't won the CL.

He has done a few good ones but his desire to force the kane move this season was at odds with the moral ground be likes to take. As is how he runs his own club.

He is all about self promotion and the whole political approach is silly. Making out he is not a massive fking Tory.

As for psg and the money they are spending... It's crazy really. The French league is a joke and city are desperate to take the pl the same way. Psg are better off though as they have the run of uefa

Does anyone know the best way to get match tickets for my 13 year old and myself? Looking to get them through official channels if possible.

I’m only after tickets for 2 or 3 games a season as we live a long way away, and would need to be weekend games.

Is it worth becoming members? Any other suggestions?

Never doubted he's a tory - but I just had him as more towards a tory with a conscience than a Boris (apologies for the political stuff). Neither are my cup of tea but at least he speaks up about stuff. But given his team mates joke about how he used to read Country Life in the dressing room, nobody would ever have him down as a "leader of the people". laugh

I tend to think most media people are self promoting - that's how they get their jobs and keep them, ultimately. I never thought the day would come when I would rather listen to him spouting off than Carragher though.
