Least there is a 2 week break now, before
Sat 1st April, City A
Tues 4th Chelsea A
Sun 9th Arsenal H
Could do with winning at least 2 of those
In all seriousness, if we continue to pass as badly as we did last night, we won’t be winning any of them. How many blips can you get away with in a season.Sat 1st April, City A
Tues 4th Chelsea A
Sun 9th Arsenal H
Could do with winning at least 2 of those

Simple enough to analyze that really. Just not good enough. Comprehensively beaten by a better team ( its sport, it happens, no shame in that).
This, really. Remembering also that Real spend big every year and seemingly have their pick of the best players around the world. We can’t compete with that, only for players who want to play with Klopp. They are playing with a 37 year old in midfield and a 35 year old up front both who have been at the club for ages.

I think Man City have regressed as a team. KDB hasn't been the same player this and they'll have big issues replacing him.
Grealish isn't good enough.
I do wonder where Man City would be if they didn't have Haaland this season.
Really? Their squad is miles ahead of anyone else, all the other top teams complain about their bench and lack of depthGrealish isn't good enough.

Agree they haven't hit the heights of prior seasons (else they would be a few points in the lead) but I still see them winning the league, and possibly the CL (its them or RM or Bayern).
Grealish walks into our team ahead of any of our front line on current form.
If Haaland wasn't there Jesus still would be and he would be banging them in instead - they would be winning games 2-0 rather than 4-0
KDB is tough to replace of course, they would just buy Bellingham for £150m if thats what it took, without blinking.
All IMHO

I predicted that Man City would walk the league after signing Haaland. They are 6 points worse off and a worse GD too. They have scored more goals.
Jesus scoring record at Man City was 13 last season and 14 the season before. He played 42 and 43 games.
Haaland has 39 goals already this season.

And now Bajcetic out for the rest of the season. Lack of midfield investment coming home to roost in a big way. We need three or four capable midfielders, we can’t keep relying on the same players to be playing every three or four days for up to 50 games a season. I just have a fear that ‘major investment’ by FSG to them means £100m and player sales. That gets Jude and more dross.

We can agree Haaland is a machine, and of course he improves them.Haaland has 39 goals already this season.
Where I disagree with you - if he wasn't signed they would have spent £100M++ on Kane or another a high quality forward, and spread the goals aournd as they did when they won the league without a recognised forward. Haaland is the focal point this season.
Haaland scored 5 against Leipzig - none made a blind bit of difference to that outcome

You guys were linked with Matheus Nunes from us, though I can see you potentially going for Ruben Neves also.
I hope you don't, but he'll be in the final year of his contract and ultimately wants to play CL football.
Would be very keen on Neves and he won't be expensive given the year left. Not sure we will be able to offer CL next season at this rate.I hope you don't, but he'll be in the final year of his contract and ultimately wants to play CL football.
In other news, Lucas Leiva has announced his retirement from football after a heart defect was found during pre season testing with Gremio in December, and further tests since.
Apparently he's a UK citizen now and still lives in Liverpool.

It's funny how certain people say it will need a few seasons to rebuild, like we should aspire to start from ground zero every 3 or 4 seasons. Boom and bust mentality, rather looking at improving the peaks and troughs by moving on certain players sooner rather than when they get exhausted or unable to cope with Klopp's demanding play. Don't see too many peaks and troughs at City who've also had 5 or 6 hugely demanding 90+ pt seasons together with late stage CL appearances. Pep moves certain players on in the prime like Sterling, Cancelo, Sane... and still manages to maintain a consistent team to challenge every year.
And before anyone says City spend WAY more money than us, over the last 5 years they've actually spent LESS than us (net). Source: Transfermarkt
No one ever does this properly, even Fergie in a far less competitive league. City have come closest, but even they dip, and they have ‘additional’ ways of paying players. Not to mention players know if they go there it will be with other amazing ones, so they should win something no matter what. We rely on someone like Klopp (or almost Brendan before) to have a chance. Plus it’s only City under Pep being consistent, before they were all over the place despite the money. That net spend number is nonsense given, for example Haaland in no way cost €60m as it's well known the number was more than double and had immense payments to agents/family members.
Using City's self reported numbers as truth ismt realistic.
Also read Klopp is too loyal, and holds on to players, whereas Pep moves them on… which is clearly not the case when you look at the likes of Aguero, Kompany, Silva etc. Difference is he wasn’t relying on them to play 90 mins twice a week… he had/has a massive squad and can blend out older players gradually.
Barcelona are in shambles at the moment with very few additional levers they can pull. It's reckoned they will be around €100m over La Liga's wage cap for next season and they've been barred from registering Gavi on a first team contract as La Liga rules state these contracts are akin to signing a new player and Barca don't have the wage space to do that. Gavi's contract states that if he's not signed on a first team contract (with a supposed $1 BILLION release clause!!) he will be a free agent on 31st June. Rumours of City and Liverpool interest abound, but you'd have to consider City as the most preferred option, a Spanish kid like thst will idolise Pep for his time at Barca and what he's accomplished. Would be amazing to sign him for us though.
