Despite the diving and play acting, Grealish has been really good today.

You could probably find a better example than that, that one Salah would have scored had he been onside and that was onside before they started messing around with the rules for VAR. It's always been onside when the defender has the last touch hasn't it? Otherwise I agree.

Pathetic from Trent there
Trent's value must have at least halved over the last season or so.

The sad reality is player for player they are 20% better which adds up to a lot

We needed Rodri to be (rightfully) sent off.

I was just pointing out that he was offside when the ball was played and then onside when he scored. No skin in the game, so not that fussed, was just highlighting that plenty of players are offside them onside in phase 2 and that one sprung to mind.

They are… Grealish and Mahrez have both been superb, but their whole midfield is on another level all together… Jota and Gakpo have had to play deep most of the game to try and support Hendo/Fab/Elliot… and we’ve still looked 2nd best by a margin.

Hysterical that in previous seasons TAA has been hailed as future captain material. Too many goals this season have been on him.

Today’s score line just highlights the difference between the 2 teams this season. They didn’t even need Haaland. They just needed Grealish up against TAA.

BT’s commentator has annoyed me so much today too.

For the first time I’m considering not watching the rest of this season. Fair play to those going to every game. This is just getting more painful every week.

Crouch called it right afterwards. We gave up and the match was over after an hour. Pathetic from anyone in a red shirt and it happens time and time again this season.

"Mentality monsters". Ha bloody ha.

What's happened to TAA this year? He seems to have had a monumental fall from grace from one of the best young wingbacks in the PL to one of the worst. He's in danger of doing a Dele at this rate.

Is it that? Or is it just a drop off across the team (esp. midfield) that is exposing frailties he's always had defensively being exposed more?

It seems the writers at BBC Sport have their own opinion of our performance today....(category at the bottom!)

The challenge was 50/50 at best to be a yellow. If it was awarded, it would've been soft imo. Beaten by the (far) better side on the day.

Klopp clearly not happy with some players:

If you look at the game, I think we had around about four performances which were OK: the two midfielders with Hendo and Fab worked a lot, tried to close gaps, Cody especially in possession and Ali, of course, and then that's obviously very difficult. If you want to get something from here, then you have to play 11 players, 14, 15 players have to be on the top of their game and that was not the case again.

I said it further up but the basic lack of passion, desire, work ethic and sheer pride just is nowhere to be seen in this team. If you give it your absolute all and you lose 4-1, fair enough. Most fans would accept the better team won.

In the middle of all our well documented issues is simply zero on-pitch leadership - as a team, all players are responsible but I expect Hendo to be the shining star. He's a mouse - talks well off the pitch but shows absolutely no leadership on it.
