Yup - we certainly have a potentially strong midfield 3 there in reserve. But I'm sure they'll all get plenty of game time.
As Stephen Warnock said after the game yesterday Elliott has a mature footy brain and doesn't play like a kid his age. If he matures at anything like the rate of Trent, we'll be in luck.

I see Nat Phillips and Shaq not making today's squad again. Moves look imminent quite possibly.
I did think they were likely to be the next 2 to find a new club. I'm a fan of both but Shaq wants regular 1st team footy and Nat is more than ready for regular 1st team footy at a decent level. Neither will get that at LFC.type-r said:

If shaq goes that's our back up forward/midfield options reduced even more. Yes Elliott has come in and looks like he could make a bit of an impact this year but i'm still concerned that our squad is thin in those areas now that Wijnaldum has left and Shaq is probably leaving too. First half was better but nice to see the kids getting another run out and looking pretty decent. What Osasuna made of being given a game by these kids, God knows. Woodburn played for a big chunk of the game and did ok but you sense he's not going to make it at LFC. Origi came on for Gordon for the 2nd half and...seemed to be the Origi of last season. We lacked the same sharpness up front in the 2nd half.
Good to see a lot of that speed and sharpness back tonight though in the first half. Entertaining, for a pre season game.
