Saka regards that as an "expressive and well played game by England".... enough said. If they cant constructively criticise themselves then there is no hope.
If that’s expressive, god knows how boring training must be. All that attacking talent, how can we be so insipid? Like many others I can’t see what Kane is bringing to the team just now, there is such a lack of movement / mobility- I agree, he cannot be fit, but given the ‘he is vital to the team’ bks Southgate will name him in the starting 11 next game. Why we couldn’t give DCL some time to evaluate him as an option? Many of the Southgate inner circle of favourites are off the boil (Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Rice), but they’ll be picked any way- we’re going to get tonked in the next round.

Dire. So so so boring. Euro 96 is crying itself to sleep tonight.
Apart from the win against the Dutch, England were st in Euro 96.Also rewatched the Germany game recently and we were pretty good in that too. Gazza really should have put that cross in.

Did anyone else see the fat bd in the crowd with his top off.
Surely he can be tracked down on social media and reminded what of what a tt he looks like.
Learn to formulate a properly constructed post before being a tt yourself . . . Surely he can be tracked down on social media and reminded what of what a tt he looks like.

In the semi, England and Germany were both average. We should have won the game, but we didn't play particularly well.
I do wonder why some of you bother to watch England.
We've topped the group without conceding. Just pretend we are Italy of old.

Because the anti English sentiment goes beyond sporting rivalry, from Both Scotland and Wales.
If it was purely sporting I'd sit and cheer on the other home nations. But it's not so I don't.
I'm English and live in Scotland. The Scots are far friendlier generally to everybody (here on the west coast, anyway) than any part of England I've lived in. You no doubt get knuckle draggers up here, just as you do in England. I don't know anyone who sinks to that level though; life's too short for that nonsense. If it was purely sporting I'd sit and cheer on the other home nations. But it's not so I don't.

The mutterings to drop Kane will get louder.
On paper we look great, haven't conceded a goal, topped the group.
Reality is we're insipid.
Atleast the first half showed some promise.
Neville said it at the start. Defend well and hope a moment of magic at the other end and score a goal On paper we look great, haven't conceded a goal, topped the group.

Sad that Scotland didn’t go through, but only one point and one goal, from that group sums up where they are I guess.
It all just petered out tonight. Couple of early chances, if one of them had gone I we had a hope. Croatia far too smart in the second half and at 2-1 with half an hour to go it was pretty much all over. As usual, Scotland are left with potential, but little to show for it.
