Yesterday? What a st day.
Us, I think you’re right Matt, you need a lot less fitness to sit in like a Conte team, or a different type of fitness. Reminds me of the first season under Poch and demanding the high press, just didn’t have stamina to do it at the start and towards the end of that season we were dead on our feet. Looks the same here to be honest. Even with Elite athletes it can still take years of conditioning to play a certain way.
Another win scraped though without being convincing, Villa don’t look ready to drop off yet. Apart from it obviously being difficult fixtures, I am quite enjoying the fact we have to play all of the top 3 now, we could have a serious say in the title race. I hate to say it though the only ones that look totally convincing are the Arse.

Teams know how we play now, so don't get caught out early on, like in the first half of the season. But they don't have to work that hard countering other teams, so they tire early, which is why we look better as the game progresses.
So the opposite of the start of the season, when we would blow teams away and then we'd tire and concede late on.
The main takeaway from yesterday is our lack of quality in front of goal - it's what's killing us in games.

I've been saying this for ages. we need better forwards.
BJ seems to be improving so juries still out on him.
Kulu has about 1 good game in 3 these days, he was awful on Saturday and was rightly subbed off.
Wenger is a stop gap at best
Son is our best finisher but he's getting old and isn't really a number 9 anyway, he has zero hold up play.
Richie isn't good enough
We MUST prioritise a proper number 9 in the summer.

I hate this phrase. It's the same kind of bks as when fans say "we've been found out" as if their team is playing some magical mystical never heard of never before seen system in a naive world where no one has access to analytics and data and video. It's utter bobbins, sorry. TEKNOPUG said:

I'd like a real image of the ball on the line, rather than a CGI representation to be honest. The screen shot looks like the ball is well over the line and Doughty's foot is ever so slightly over. I guess we'll never know what Hawkeye actually registers as they never release the footage. There must be a margin of error that they don't advertise. More VAR fairy required.
"The electrical current that runs through the cables generates a magnetic field. A sensor suspended in the ball measures the magnetic fields as soon as the ball comes into contact with them and transmits data about the ball's location to receivers located behind the goal that relay the data to a central computer."
I wonder if the player being so close to the ball played around with the sensors. One of those things that in real time clearly looked in the net.

Kulu is a worry, been right off since he came back from injury
Wenger might be a stop gap but he's proving useful in going forward, attacking, putting in dangerous balls.
Zero hold up play - did you watch the city/Arse game? Halland has zero hold up play and has been terrible since Christmas. Missing most of the game, wasn't running in front of the defenders so balls were easily cut out. Shocking game to watch.
West Ham tonight - again depends which Spurs/West Ham team turn up, then we've got Forest, Newcastle, the Arse and at some point City to play.
We do seem to play as though we're hanging on... Can't see us going above Villa

And we have 3 of the bottom 4, who have managed 1 win in their last 20 matches. 2 of which will already be relegated when we play them.
Lol how long have you been supporting Spurs? Just because we are playing relegation fodder, doesn't mean we'll win. In fact normal Spurs form is to get a decent result against a top team, you know to get your hopes up, immediately followed by a 3-0 loss to a poor one.Byker28i said:
