I've said it before, 5th spot shouldn't get a CL spot. If we can't beat Villa to 4th, we don't deserve it.

Also we are going to need to bring in some serious reinforcements in the summer, we barely coped with just playing the league, imagine having to play on a Wednesday or Thursday night too.
It's why Man City continue to float to the top every season - they have so much more squad depth than anyone else.

We have Lo Celso and a load of kids

They need to rebrand it.

Having only the Champions from previous season seriously weakens the competition though. As you basically have just the winners from the top 5 leagues. And even then, just because they won last year, doesn't mean that they are any good this year. You put 2-4/5 finishers in the EL and the EL then becomes the stronger competition, with all the popular teams and screws with commercial and TV deals.

I presume you've seen the new format for next year? Also same approach for Europa, Europa Conference, Europa Sunday League, Europa Kerching League etc
https://pt.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/0268-...

No groups, first stage 8 matches, 4 home, 4 away all different teams...

"The top eight sides in the league will qualify automatically for the round of 16, while the teams finishing in 9th to 24th place will compete in a two-legged knock-out phase play-off to secure their path to the last 16 of the competition. Teams that finish 25th or lower will be eliminated, with no access to the UEFA Europa League."

There is to be an exclusive champions league week... see link for details

Lots of noise around Nicolas Jackson missing loads of chances yesterday. Turns out he really is that poor.

I see VAR is hell bent on ruining football still. Forest want to explore the range of options available given the clear need for escalation and resolution.

They hired Clatternberg as a "Referee Consultant" not so long ago - was only going to be a matter of time before he got himself in the headlines.

I'm shocked that he came back after that Chelsea game and weeks later taking a completely unrelated cushy job in Saudi Arabia,

No matter how badly Chelsea are playing, they ALWAYS turn up against us.

They can be in the worse form ever, roll over against everyone else and yet they'll still manage to turn us over, it's pretty bizarre tbh.
