Good to see the 62k mark broken. I wonder if they could start selling the empty seats cheaper once the game starts and it's clear there's usually 2k or whatever free?
62,027 is pretty much full capacity when you account for segregation, particularly for the NLD. They'll never hit the full 62,850. There were no empty seats by me the place was rammed.

Unsurprisingly last night broke the attendance record, with 62,027.
With 20 mins to go it looked more like 59,027.
Yep the fire alarm must've gone off.
Just got home. You could see the point when Arsenal fans remembered they left the oven on.

Yes, it's more the large number of games were we get 59/60k and it's officially a sell-out I was referring to

But if the game is officially sold out, how can they sell more seats? How long do you wait after kick off to decide that someone is not going to turn up and their seat is available? How do you audit that, quickly enough, and get the seats on sale on the website? How many fans are there who live close enough to the ground to be able to get there and see some football, who are not already at the game anyway? Sorry it just seems like a bizarre suggestion and an unworkable solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

It's not worth too much discussion, but it wouldn't be that difficult. The ground must know which seats are attended, and then a rule that after 10 mins the seats are re-sold. There could even be some partial refund if they were generous. The information flow is obviously automated and very quick. The one issue is managing the demand at the door. Perhaps most importantly for Levy, it would make the club additional revenue ... perhaps £60k - £80k per game?

Re the at the ground on spec ... this is exactly what many fans have done for decades from touts.

No it wouldn’t be difficult it would be impossible, how is anyone going to be able to attend a game at 10 mins notice and you can’t have people waiting outside to come in as the PL rules don’t allow it, hence the digital system that all PL grounds now have to operate. You also can’t sanction ST holders or members that have bought tickets, just because they may turn up late. I’ve missed KO a few times over years for reasons totally beyond my control

Great result and great atmosphere.

Not really a fan of the premium seating offering, food was awful and gave a few of our party a dodgy stomach - I blame the Chicken Katsu curry.

Give me a simple pie any day of the week even if I have to queue a bit longer for it.

Yidwan and I ate bowls and bowls of the katsu and are fine. The katsu and salmon dishes were delicious, the mac and cheese was below par IMO.

It seemed to be never ending too. Not sure if they put more catering on than normal, but they just kept bringing trays and trays of the stuff. Usually we get served two or three times and then they vanish, but yesterday they just kept trying to force food on us.

Totally forgot I put a bet on 3-0 as well laugh

Am I the only one really worried about Sunday 12:00? from memory we don't tend to do too great on these early kick offs.

Conte will have the team prepared. Only problem will be Burnley parking the bus. We haven't done well against teams that do that

I've always found the food in the new stadium, be it the premium offering or from one of the numerous excellent food outlets, very good indeed.

The difference between that and Old WHL, and the Wembley years, are night and day.

This, I'm more worried about the Burnley game then Arsenal tbh. Burnley could have written the book on parking the bus, they are masters at it and we always struggle against them. Our wingers are a bit st and we have no natural playmaker in midfield to break them down. We just have to be relentless with the pressure, keep pumping the ball forward and hope they make a mistake. If we spend most of the game passing sideways and backwards around their 10 man low block, we are toast.

What I'd give for a prime Eriksen in games like this.

It's the final home game of the season, we just have to batter them (in the "overwhelm them with good football" sense, not in the Arsenal sense) and finish the home season on a high. Arsenal have an extra day to recover but if they go in to their game in 5th and 2 points behind then it puts them under a bit of pressure. It's all we can do, 4th is not in our hands.

Not sure why people are getting so twitchy about Burnley, a rogue away result the other month, they may be kings of parking the bus, but we always find a way to beat them at our place. In 24 games in all comps in the PL era we have never lost to them at home, 4 away losses, 4 away draws and 1 home draw all the rest are wins and don't forget the small matter of 9 goals in the last 2 home games, I think you have to go back to the 80's to find the last time they won at our gaff, so calm down lads

This popped up on my timeline today, actually in the ground I think.

Great atmosphere there for sure.

Probably just me then. Personally if I am going to be sinking my body weight in beer (and due to nerves, they will be going down at a fair rate) then my stomach kind of turns when being offered Salmon and stuff like that.

I have simple tastes laugh
