Yeah. Winks and Everton are made for each other. He's the man for a sideways pass in a relegation dogfight next May. "Here we go! ... signed and done ..."

I'm really wanting us to get Spence and Bastoni, though the latter seems unlikely but who knows what's going on.

Who would you lot choose of Richarlison and Jesus?
Jesus all day long A because I think he’s better as a Striker which is what we need B I think he has a better attitude C he would be more content with less game time because he’s used to it, I think Richarlson will just start spitting the dummy out
I agree with you because of B and C. They are both fantastic players who could run riot in this Spurs team.

I don't rate either of them.

I do rate them.

I'd rather have Martinez, but that looks harder.

That said, I'd rather have Maddison

Jesus all day long. He has a goal involvement (goal or assist) every other game. Now that may be because of who he plays for, but I still think he would be a good upgrade on Moura or Bergy.

Is he going to be happy playing back up to Son & Kane? If he is happy playing back up to Son & Kane, is he the player we want?

Well he doesn't start every game at the moment, he seems quite happy to be rotated. Jesus would definitely raise the quality of the squad.

With Champions League football and 5 subs allowed this season, it makes sense to have good options in the squad. We start Kane and Son because we have to.

I don't think we should shy away from bringing in a quality striker "because Kane and Son".

wasn't last season the first that Kane wasn't crocked? We need another quality striker...

However I'd expect Jesus to go to the Arse

I agree that we should be trying to sign the best that we can but there is more than ability to consider. He's 25 and has spent the last 4 years playing in rotation and not the 1st choice striker. I'd question his ambition and mentality if he is content to do that for another 4 years. I'd be very surprised if he signed for us over Arsenal or somewhere else where he'd be first choice. Ditto Richarlison.

Listening to Tim Vickery this morning on TS, Jesus main priority is playing so he is in contention for the World Cup, and will he do that on a regular basis for us? I can't see it, but I wouldn't complain if he arrived I don't think.

I do wonder whether we are actually interested though, or whether its more press leaks for when he signs for the Arse they can spin it that they stole him from under or noses and they're still a big pull.

Agreed. Also Jesus is a lot younger. Him and Kulu.

This is the nub of it to be honest. It seems like Paratici + Conte + Champions League football = we're being linked with everyone. I doubt the Jesus rumours are more than just that.

I just think a younger player who is making a step up will be more happy to sit on the bench and try harder when their opportunity comes, as even if they don't usurp Son or Kane, they are still putting themselves in the shop window. Or an older player who doesn't want to start every game anyway. Isn't Bitey available on a free...? Lewandowski? hehe

I just don't see a forward at the peak of their ability choosing to limit their playing time. Unless they were genuinely good enough to challenge Kane/Son for a starting place. Jesus is good but he's not God....

I don't think that we would sign a young forward who is making a step up when we have Parrott and Jack Clarke (remember him?) out on loan.

I think Dane Scarlett is fancied too by Conte, will be interesting to see if he starts getting some more minutes this season.

What are people seeing in Jesus that I'm not? He's playing in arguably the best team in the world and yet rarely scores more than a dozen goals. In fact the last two seasons he's scored 8 and 9, not exactly stats to get excited about. In fact whenever I've seen him play, he seems to run around a lot, miss a lot of shots and not do much else.

Surely we have Moura who does all that for us already, swap one ineffective Brazilian for another, am I missing something?

Last 5 seasons goal involvements (goal or assist) :
Jesus 86 in 149 games
Moura 34 in 137

I see Jesus as an upgrade. My gut feel is Moura would not get Jesus' stats if he played for Man City.

Agree Jesus is an upgrade. Also a Brazil regular with a decent if not great 1 in 3 goal rate for them. Jesus seems to me a bit better about getting into scoring positions and actually scoring ... that sort of thing.

Would you be able to play him, Son and Kane together as a front 3? Jesus doesn't seem to have the same knack for scoring, but is great at helping others with assists. Use him alongside the other 2 to help set them up, plus pick up the odd goal now and then too? I hate to say it as it'll just be "talking about Liverpool again", but like Bobby Dazzler did for Salah and Mane. Or is Conte just not taking you as a club towards a front 3?

But I don't think right now, based on how he has been since he signed for us he would take Kuluevski's place. His assists and goal scoring in the 4 months he's been here were top of the charts. Before his arrival, the case for him playing with Son and Kane would have been valid.
