What are people seeing in Jesus that I'm not? He's playing in arguably the best team in the world and yet rarely scores more than a dozen goals. In fact the last two seasons he's scored 8 and 9, not exactly stats to get excited about. In fact whenever I've seen him play, he seems to run around a lot, miss a lot of shots and not do much else.

Surely we have Moura who does all that for us already, swap one ineffective Brazilian for another, am I missing something?
28 games playing as a forward for Citeh and he manages 8 goals and 8 assists......that's terrible figures. His best season was 2019/20 when he score 14 goals in 34 matches - in a season when Citeh scored 102! He's been there 5/15 years, is only 25 and Citeh want rid. Because he's not very good. The fact that Arsenal are favourites to sign him should be a strong indication of how well he's regarded by the top teams in Europe. Bang average.

Yeah. Winks and Everton are made for each other. He's the man for a sideways pass in a relegation dogfight next May. "Here we go! ... signed and done ..."

I'm really wanting us to get Spence and Bastoni, though the latter seems unlikely but who knows what's going on.

Who would you lot choose of Richarlison and Jesus?
Jesus all day long. He has a goal involvement (goal or assist) every other game. Now that may be because of who he plays for, but I still think he would be a good upgrade on Moura or Bergy.
Is he going to be happy playing back up to Son & Kane? If he is happy playing back up to Son & Kane, is he the player we want?
Well he doesn't start every game at the moment, he seems quite happy to be rotated. Jesus would definitely raise the quality of the squad.

With Champions League football and 5 subs allowed this season, it makes sense to have good options in the squad. We start Kane and Son because we have to.

I don't think we should shy away from bringing in a quality striker "because Kane and Son".
Would you be able to play him, Son and Kane together as a front 3? Jesus doesn't seem to have the same knack for scoring, but is great at helping others with assists. Use him alongside the other 2 to help set them up, plus pick up the odd goal now and then too? I hate to say it as it'll just be "talking about Liverpool again", but like Bobby Dazzler did for Salah and Mane. Or is Conte just not taking you as a club towards a front 3?
Conte has pretty much established a front 3 already, with Kane, Son and Kulusevski.

I see Jesus as an upgrade on Moura or Bergy, to provide fresh legs for one of those three in the league, and to start cup games.

But again - all moot/irrelevant as the whole Jesus thing is clickbait. We seem to be getting linked with all sorts.

My thoughts exactly, those aren't the stats of a really good player in my book.

Jesus would be like the second coming of himself if he went to the goons and a nailed on starter.

He'd get less time with us than he did with City.

Also, what did Everton fans say to Frank that upset him so much that he'd want to sign Tiddly for 20M? Maybe he misheard one of them talking about Rafa calling him a fat waiter.

Everton are bottom feeders now tho. Winks is a big hitter in that team

Anyway, how the hell did Nunu sign Romero?

Perhaps after volunteering at the soup kitchen Romero wanted to feel proud.

I don’t get Jesus at all. He’s a striker that can’t even get into a team that doesn’t have a striker.

That said conte can do no wrong in my eyes so if he wants him then I’ll be happy if we get him.

Any good Golf Courses near Cardiff? biggrin

Arse can have Jesus tbh.

Shame Bergy is off but I guess he wants regular first team football. Too good a player to be playing a bit part at Spurs.

Very true. £50m for Richarlison or £55m + Winks is starting to look more likely. Bit of a risk. Conte must feel he can get him into line.

Quite a few of you have said Richie is disruptive, whilst he often has a face like a barrel of smacked arses whilst playing, I've never heard of him being disruptive and he works his socks off on the pitch. In all honesty if he wants to go, then I'd like to see him go somewhere that he'll win something smile

Errrr have you not been paying attention? This is our year. Should have the title in the bag with a couple of games to go, and a cup too.

Perhaps we should start a new thread calling ourselves the quadruple winners? Can't see anything going wrong there it's worked for the other threads hehe

yes

We'll win all but one game this season. The scoreline being:

Spurs 0 - Everton 3
Winks 2, 62, 93

Not if Obi-wan can help it.
