All the players seem to like Stellini and have nothing but good things to say. If he gets good results till the end of the season I’d quite like to see him given a proper crack

Finally.

At least Levy is learning too. Didn't he sack Poch on the very last day of the international break?

Feels quite unusual for Conte's backroom staff to be remaining in place, although I suppose the results under Stellini can't be argued with.
Can certainly argue about Sheffield United.

Do you not think he was probably told to make the changes

The Special One! Or Kolo Toure, he's available after a disastrous spell at Wigan. Or Sam Allardyce, he'd fit in well with the London scene.

Yep very odd that Conte's backroom staff have split and decided to stay in Conte's absence. Has that ever happened before or is this just another new and strange twist in the Spurs manager saga?

Also Stelini is basically Conte light so don't expect any major tactical changes or amazing turnarounds. Maybe the players who wanted Conte out might be slightly buoyed by his departure but will that be enough to see us secure top 4, I'm not convinced.

Meanwhile Bayern hired and fired a new manager in the same day. We really are st at this stuff.

Conte doesn’t want the job and had made sure that he won’t have to come back from Italy after the international break!

Maybe because he’s had to be (a Conte light that is) I guess the Everton game will show if there is a notable change in set up. We have done the same day fire and hire with Poch and Maureen, so not sure that’s a recommendation

There can't be many more mangerial options available that Levy hasn't already tried??

I'd be VERY surprised if there is a difference, Stelini is basically Conte's understudy.

Looking for our fourth manager in four years. Levy is the constant, the common denominator. Groundhog day FC.

He should just do it himself.

By the end of this season, caretaker/ interim managers will have been in charge for 8.9% of the PL games Spurs have played since Daniel Levy took over as chairman.

Also, fairly sure the last season we had a manager in place for a full season was 18/19?! confused

I’m sure I heard that Conte was still picking the squad and advising during live matches in his absence.

I'm intrigued by the wording of the club statement. It gave a very definite time period for Stellini and Mason. In charge "until the end of the season". Not "until a new manager is appointed" or anything else vague. Suggests to me that a new manager is lined up but unable to be officially appointed until the close season.

This has been banded about several times recently and if you actually look at the stats on clubs constantly in the PL for the last 15 years we are in the middle, so could you say average, someone posted on Facebook a couple of days ago, made interesting reading, I’ll see if I can find it

Really? Blimey you've got some faith!

They've got 138 days to find a new manager before the 23/24 season starts. That's all the statement says to me. No one in their right mind would take over now with 10 games remaining.

I believe Conte and Stellini have been split before when Stellini was banned for 2.5 years for match fixing.
