He had a much freer and attacking role with Scotland as they didn’t really seem to have a structure to their play. That suited him to be rampaging around doing whatever he wanted to do.
The issue is that PL teams do actually try to score goals unlike Cyprus and Spain. They also have a structure to their teams which means he couldn’t just run around a lot.
What would be interesting would be seeing how he copes with a more attacking role rather than the defensive midfield role that’s clearly not right for him.

Rodri complaint about Scotland being physical has to be a joke ,anyone see the ‘tackle’ he did on odergard the other night ?
Big cry baby. Spanish players are more worried about their press coverage than playing well. Is he the City Rodri? Wonder why he went in so hard on Odegaard if he is LF5335 said:

He isn’t technically good enough to play at the top level as a defensive midfielder. I do like him, and does some good stuff as a squad play. This was surprising
“Wages were down £20.4m to £77.3m, a decrease of 20.9% as Erik ten Hag's team are not in this season's Champions League.”
So players get a 25% bonus if you are in PL?
As far as I'm aware, the players have to take a salary drop if we fail to get in the CL. Decent incentive to get that top 4 spot for them!“Wages were down £20.4m to £77.3m, a decrease of 20.9% as Erik ten Hag's team are not in this season's Champions League.”

I do find it laughable that the Glazers can demand 6 billion for the club whilst it's showing to be a billon in debt, and rising. Laughable, but not surprising.

If certainly proves just what a farce and a sham FFP is when a club can have a billion in debt, possibly more given the lack of transparency with united's Cayman Islands based accounts, yet the footballing authorities have no problem at all with it.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
