Enjoyed that tonight and made a change not to win 1 nil
I thought Sancho looked a bit livelier and it'll be interesting if Antony is not able to play in the cup final and Fulham seeing a forward 3 involving Garnacho, sancho, Rashford and Martial as for me we look more dangerous on the break with those options
We also looked better without Eriksen on the pitch, hes been so slow last couple of months

Lindelof was top drawer again.
At one point "Maguire needs the right partner next to him" was a thing, I think that's been thoroughly debunked seeing how Lindelof has done without him alongside.
He is a lot more aggressive without Maguire, which makes complete sense - when next to someone as slow as Maguire you can't be aggressive as you need to constantly be aware of covering the space behind knowing your partner will likely get turned/skinned at some point. Hence Victor turned into this passive "meh" defender.
With Varane next to him he knows he's got cover behind so can get tighter, be more proactive, etc.
I still worry about him a little against the very best teams and the most physical strikers, and don't think he's at that elite level, but as a squad option there are FAR worse 3rd/4th choice CB's in the league.

Good performance last night but....
1. We were playing a pretty awful team
2. They caught us on the break a lot and we were lucky not to finish 4-4. If you see the highlights you can see how close they were to scoring on many occasions. We did have similar chances but a decent team would have capitalised on those

You could just as easily say that we were unlucky not to win 7 or 8 nil though.1. We were playing a pretty awful team

Yes!!! Hopefully celtic draw utd in the champions league now. I still remember when nakamura scored that free kick while I was watching it on the phone to my grandad down England who supports utd. Brilliant haha. It's his fault utd became my "English team" but there it is. Lovely memory's of a great man.

It's certainly come to something when potentially finishing just above 'lowly' Newcastle is seen as a succes by Man U fans - talk about crumbs!
Has anyone used the word “lowly” that you put in quotes? You’re just another financially doped club. I’m worried we could become one too. Hardly something to celebrate. As soon as City have done the legal legwork and get away with their financial doping, you’ll be splashing the cash like it’s going out of fashion. Then it will be a short hop to the ESL and all that entails. LF5335 said:

Please don't worry about becoming a financially doped club, you've already been one in the past. Now your just a club that wes itself out to every commercial sponsor and "official partner" that waves a grubby tenner in your direction, no matter how laughable and cringeworthy they may be, along with having anywhere between half a billion and £1 billion in debt, obviously no-one is quite sure of the actual figure as your accounts are hidden away in that bastion of financial honesty and accountability that is the Cayman Islands.
