Of course not but for all the st he gets, i thought he had a tidy game, kept possession and did his defensive duties well. Its a low bar to start from, but given the fact many of our players have been accused of not trying then having a good work-rate is something he should be applauded for.
Elanga offered us all of that, maybe we should have just kept him and the £75mn change!

Potentially but he didn't do much either last night.

Agreed, pathetic given what Casemiro was sent off for against Palace last season.

I’m sorry but grabbing someone’s collar is far more serious than actually choking someone .

The really annoying thing is that red disrupted Casemiro’s season and ours quite a bit. He got another soon after and hasn’t been the same since which coincided with our poor run of form at the end of last season and all of this. I don’t think it’s all down to one thing, but it definitely impacted him and the team as a whole as a result.

Quite how the Forest incident is now seen as acceptable is bizarre. I know it was the dying seconds of a match but that shouldn’t matter. We’ve had players sent off or booked at the end of a match before.

Indeed , whilst we have been pretty crap it’s accurate to say that atrocious ref /var decisions and inconsistencies have cost us big time the last couple of years .
But I also think the manager should be pointing this out , other managers are not afraid .

In the top pic he had him by the throat,in the bottom one he didn't.Why are they comparing two different stages of the incident?

It was different angles showing what one photo seemed to show wasn’t the same from a different angle. Anyway, this is old and this discussion was had about this time last year. Go back and review it if you want. Pretty certain you won’t. However, even if Casemiro did grab Hughes round the throat, then he got a red card. Why didn’t the Forest player?

Shouldn’t you be getting all excited about your guaranteed quadruple and booking the day off work for the bus parade (oops, didn’t think that last bit through).

Just listening to the Talk of the Devils podcast and they are talking about our defence and reeled off these stats for this season.

23 Different back 4 combinations this season across 37 matches

Most used combination is Dalot / Varane / Evans / AWB - 4 times

Our first choice line up of Dalot / Varane / Martinez / Shaw has be used 1 vs Newport County

You can understand why we have had so many issues at the back this year.

Nigh on impossible to build something solid with those numbers. Then there’s the time Onana has needed to settle. The most common combo above has a full back out of position!!

A sensational FA Cup quarter final is ahead though. It could well be a disaster but what a game. I can’t wait.

That's madness really. I can't remember a season where it's been so chaotic in selection. Certainly can't be helping.

Did they think it was a complete coincidence? Jamie Carragher seemed to suggest that our injuries may be partially due to the fact we play in such a way that people are constantly having to sprint 60 yards to cover a gaping hole in the middle of the pitch. If you add that to the complaints from players about being over trained and not having as much rest as they'd like then perhaps there's an alternative to it being completely coincidental.

I'd be interested to see how our injuries this season compare to previous ones.

He was ok but didn't have to do much to be fair. The saves he made were straight at him and beyond that it was pretty quiet for him.
