It's kind of irritating that Newcastle, now being the richest club in the World, aren't throwing cash at mercenaries, and actually appear to be doing things properly and have a plan in place. If they carry on like this they could well be quite the force in a few seasons.
Not sure I agree with this. The formula of throwing money at a mediocre club appears to work fine if what were perennial mid-table clubs like Chelsea and Man City are anything to go by. I'm pretty sure that when, in say say 4 years time, this policy of not throwing cash around and instead relying on home grown talent and smaller purchases hasn't resulted in a top 4 place then it'll be ditched in favour of the inevitable spending orgy to get things turbo-charged.

Having a wage structure is something we could do well to give some consideration to when rebuilding after our clear out.

He is, from the CAF who have been on the Barca forums it seems to be more the club needs to sell to balance the books and at 24 he is a good option for them to actually recoup some money onHonestly not watched Barca so no idea how he has done for them .
The wariness here of course is does the player want to leave/come to Utd or is he being forced out due to money and we'd end up in another AdM position
