Other than not mentioning spitting, or eating your children's toe nails, it's absolutely relevant to the discussion.

United fans don't like Carra because he's ex LFC and scouse... if United were winning everything and Neville was behaving the same way, LFC fans would say the same thing... but we currently love Neville (& Keane) for obvious reasons.

All the various footy shows use ex players, and typically have specific pundits for games because they are ex players for the teams in question.
And it still bears no relation to the discussion we’re having, but you carry on with your little wind up attempt.

Where's the wind up?

If he was on a wind up, poxy commentators wouldn't be the weapon of choice given your current woes, would it?

I quite like Carragher on Sky but tbh it's only in the last couple of months I've noticed his bias getting to annoying levels. Before I didn't think he was unreasonably biased. Him and Neville are usually good together.

Richards just laughs and doesn't actually add anything when he speaks, that's wearing thin as well.
I dont remember JC eulogising over that Matip goal TBH, if he claimed it was some amazing goal that is bks obv

I like to think I am reasonably club agnostic when it comes to commentators:

I like GN and JC, and they work well together (would have had no complaints i JC had been banned tho)
I like Keane, he is an arrogant arse but at least he calls it like he sees it
Murphy is excellent
Lineker is an excellent host presenter

I dont mind Rio, Shearer or Jenas

Scholes is dull as ditchwater, literally sucks the joy out of any room
Owen is awful, as is Dublin
Richards is an irritating, biased buffoon
Joe Cole and the like seem dead from the neck up

Sorry, veered off on one there

Neville is one of the worst and most biased irritating pundits around. He was also a ste manager, so no stock at all. Carragher is another gobste, he shouldn’t ever see the light of day for spitting. If there’s a game with either I have to switch the commentary to the radio.

Unsurprisingly this discussion has gone defensive around former players from one side. Being clear on my views GNev is a good pundit when he does football analysis. He isn’t overly biased and can commentate well on games where United aren’t involved. He’s probably best doing them now. However, his political ramblings and encouraging the pitch invasion was stupid and he needs to be censored for that. Also he needs to STFU about the good old days. They’re long gone.

Richards is just st. He’s there as a former City player and his bias is worse than Carragher’s. Carragher could be a good pundit if he just let go of his Liverpool excessive bias, but I think Sky are deliberately forcing him to over play that. Hence why I said Sky is becoming unwatchable.

Souness is long past it and should be put out to pasture. Keane is just there to start fights and he’s not really that arsed if you watch him, he’s just getting angry following instructions. Redknapp is a wimp who daren't say anything bad about anyone ever.

Scholes, Ferdinand and the BT lot are just crap, but I don’t watch via BT Sport anymore.

To summarise, I don’t care who a pundit played for. Be a pundit not a fan.

Adam.

I like Ally McCoist.

Would love to see him used more.

The rest I can take or leave with Neville being the best - Carragher much better in the studio than when he's on commentary. If you are a dyed in the wool manc it must be painful listening to him.

I quite like Souness actually but I seem to be in the minority. I also didn’t realise he’s not tall

To be fair… he’s consistent… he hates everyone, including the team he supports.

He really is, on all formats. Not only is his analysis insightful, but he has a real infectious, almost child-like enthusiasm for the game that I can't help but enjoy. Him, Laura Woods and Alan Brazil work fantastically as a trio on Talksport.
