I think Eriksen is an odd signing but if viewed as free and he plugs a temporary gap it makes sense
We’ve lost 3 attacking midfielders this week in Pogba lingard and Mata. Good squad addition Eriksen. Mata was heavily involved towards the season close once Pogba decided he wasn’t playing anymore.
Regards to Eriksen I figure it appears to be much of the same old Man U thing to get a player past his prime and I would think most Man U fans would have been expecting a new approach and rebuild for the long term, rather than more patch filling players.

He would instantly be our best crosser and fk taker...not that he would be allowed to take any but it would be nice to see a few more goals from set pieces. I would have him.

If we only signed Eriksen and missed out on other midfield targets then I would agree with you, but we have large holes in midfield, not a huge transfer budget so someone like Eriksen would be ideal. At 30 is he past his prime? It didn't work out at Inter, but was playing very well for Brentford last season.

Indeed I would consider most players to be in their prime between 27-32 .

As long as he doesn't take the corners.

See the Spuds for details.

If you ignore the fact that he’s died once already and has been playing for Brentford, his age wouldn’t concern me much.

Given the way we performed last year then September, November and December look pretty tricky too.

Reality is that whatever happens we should see an improvement in style and effort if not results in the short / medium term. It’ll be really interesting to see what team we can put out.

Leicester went from near-certain relegation to Champions, in wink of a season.

Jus' sayin'.

The worry there is that their end of season form to stave of relegation was where they picked up to win the title. Our end of season form was a little ermmmmmm less than perfect.

Unident; the point is, you can have a dire season, and be a completely inspired team, the next.

Not saying we'll do a Leicester, but it's not impossible, either.

I’m only messing. We’re starting from scratch next season and I’m totally fired up for it. New manager, new coaching structure, new players, he’ll we’ve even got a new guy at the very top.

Apparently Dean Henderson is off to Forest on loan with an option to buy for £20m, with you guys paying a portion of his wages next season.

Yeah he doesn’t want to be on the bench again. Plus he signed a contract and is stupidly well paid so we will struggle to sell him.

I really want to see him perform well as I think he will replace DeGea

I'm not worried about Utd if Rashford is in the team.

That statement may come back to bite me but I just don't see him in a PL title winning team.
