Interesting recording of Richard Arnold. Quite like the bloke and he’s honest about past errors (from Woodward) and seems to be trying to change things for the better.
Totally agree. Hears about a possible fan protest being planned outside his house and meets them in his local! Gone a bit AMG said:

Why the fk did they film him on the sly?
That's a proper s trick when someone is good enough to speak to them.I suppose now all the players you are linked with, their clubs will know you have a couple of hundred million to throw about.
I do agree, saying that, everyone I've spoken to about it has been in support of Arnold speaking so candidly so maybe they were ok with the leakThat's a proper s trick when someone is good enough to speak to them.I suppose now all the players you are linked with, their clubs will know you have a couple of hundred million to throw about.
I've been with famous people where phones were removed from people so it can and often is managed if they don't want it out there

Putting any club allegiances to one side, does no one think this is A a bit strange, maybe even worrying that grown men would want to turn up and protest outside an owners/ CEO’s house and B how on earth did his address become public knowledge. And before anyone wants to start a row, I would be saying exactly the same thing if it was Spurs fans doing itmartinbiz said:

Oh for sure its astonishing, its madness regardless but when we've not even kicked a ball under the new man yet its even more nonsensicalI equate it to the same people who abuse soap actors in the street because their character did something bad, just an inability to separate reality from the 'storyline'

Nice of LVG to supposedly tell Timber if he joined United and wasn't playing week in week out he would not be picked for holland ,meanwhile he picks Ake for Holland who barely plays .
Because he hates United now and is a bitter prick.Short sighted from Timber though as he is still very young, and as he can play right back, he'd have got a fair amount of game time ahead of Dalot and AWB imo.

Agree, but you can understand his bitterness. Nourishing will shaft us at every opportunity, Moyes gets a kick out of beating us and so on. We’ve just forgotten what it’s like to have a sacked manager and how they react. They were all treated badly by the club,I can understand the resentment but it's a kunt who takes his issue with united out on a player.I would also think given the style TH likes to play we need a more mobile centre half than the current load of statues we have,so I would think he would get a lot of games.

If we can’t convince a player that his future is with us and not to listen to an old tt who will no doubt retire after this WC then I despise of our ability to attract and negotiate with anyone. If ever there was a time to join United then this is it. Bear in mind we can’t sign the entire Ajax team because we seem to be linked to more than a few of them .franki68 said:

LvG also chose not to include Wijnaldum (vice captain even) for the previous set of 4 international games. Reason according to LvG: he doesn't play enough at PSG.
Does that mean he hates PSG?
No, LvG wants to raise the level of the Dutch national team. Making players more critical where and if they play.
He also says that unfortunately he cannot be consistent in that thinking, as the competition is not the same in all positions. Hence Ake playing (sometimes) due to Van Dijk getting extra vacation. Also keeping in mind he wants a left footed player on the left CD position and a right footed on the right. Timber is competing with De Ligt and De Vrij for a position.
Finally; Timber has one year of football on the highest level as a regular under his belt, if EtH get's shafted at United chances are the new manager won't pick him since he's not a big name in England and still young.
So the best (long term) decisions for Timber is to develop further at Ajax. Many before him made the mistake to leave early, either being too young, too greedy, too....
LvG is usually right when it comes to football (and Manchester United ).

We've been linked with Timber, Antony and Martinez from Ajax no way we are gonna get all 3
I think Timber may well be a Jan signing, he can do a bit more time at Ajax, do the WC and then move
Ducker is reporting our interest in Antony but apparently we're holdit off until FdJ is sorted
Those 2 and Eriksen would be a very good start to the window
