Cantwell is a nasty player. His constant feigning injury will not make him popular. A £2 million player at best.
He was absolutely flying into challenges from the get go too. The kind you see in the lower leagues where a player comes up against someone much better and just tries to get physical to counteract it.

Neilson binned by Hearts
I thought they would have waited till the split and see where they are , pity as next week Edinburgh derby was going to be interesting

I can't pretend I have much sympathy for Neilson. He came across as rather unpleasant too often.

Hearts looked certainties for 3rd place weeks ago. It sounds like a divide in the dressing room resulting in a slump in forum. I thought with the European money they'd be able to establish themselves as a stronger club. They've blown it.

I hope they have more imagination than giving Levein the job.

Anyone getting into football management must have one topic at the interview and in their contract - Termination terms. It's just a complete merry-go-round at the moment.

How many of the current managers in the SPL have won anything as a manager (not as assistant)?

Is it just three - Ange P, Teak McInness, Callum Davidson?

SPL is definitely a journeyman merry go round.

Jim Goodwin won the league cup with St Mirren.

The chances of them winning anything in Scotland is slim due to the dominance of Celtic.

Malky Mackay twice won the English Championship.

He had a good reputation before he was sacked for his offensive messages.

Naeidea installed by Hearts as caretaker. Not sure what he’s going to do to make a difference, but seems the players had downed tools for Neilson. The derby at the weekend may not be for the squeamish, but should be entertaining.

Disappointing result, right tactics and probably strongest squad available to the manager put out and two individual mistakes and an atrocious refereeing decision throws it away.

Clancy quite simply can’t be trusted to referee an old firm match again. His absolute horror show in 2019 should have put an end to it but yet again he’s made sure he’s a talking point at the end of the game.

That however is overshadowed by the two absolutely suicidal moments of defending. Davies took the harder option to try and keep it in then made a pathetic flap to header it when he realised the mistake he made, he could have easily just put it out for a corner and re-grouped.

Souttars was unexplainable, McGregor was slower than a week in the jail getting out to it too. The difference between the two teams was shown with Celtic pouncing on the mistakes and rangers being powder puff in attack

We've had a season of you telling this thread it's IMPOSSIBLE to make wrong decisions with so many officials and VAR.

We've had you justifying every tiny tug and push as a technically a foul.

Talking about fans putting pressure on referees. One decision, that didn't even cross over into the clear and obvious error category, and here you are calling the integrity of the official into question demanding he has to be removed.

Remarkable turnaround now a decision has finally not gone in Rangers favour.

Not called his integrity into question, I’ve called his competence into question. He’s a truly abysmal ref

You could tell from watching them that Rangers badly struggled without their customary penalty

Glad you mentioned the Clancy. There is normally a forensic analysis of every decision in a Rangers game and it seems to lacking after this game for some reason despite his decisions being the main talking point of the match. If Clancy had called the Morelos goal correctly then I don't think Rangers lose that match. The decision changed the momentum of the game.

Other than the two defensive mistakes there is a lot of positives to take from the game. The tactics were spot on as you said, and the performance was a major improvement over our last visit. Hopefully the right additions are made in the next transfer window.

When is a two handed push in the back that causes an opponent to fall over not a free kick? Absolute madness that this is even a debate.

Swap it round. If Johnston does that to Morelos as the ball comes in and easily clears it as a result, it’s a penalty.

Johnston isn't trying to play the ball and has a hold of Morelos. Morelos tries to break free and Johnston makes the most of the contact and dives to the ground. It was such a bad decision Walker, Sutton and Hartson all think Celtic got off with it.

It's firmly in the win some-loose some category. The notion that it cost Rangers the game is laughable. The notion that Rangers are not positive in the win some-loose some category this season is also laughable.
