Please just get the match won and move on to Sundays game. Sick of hearing all the politics behind it and folk like Graeme Souness hoping we lose.

Its just typical that the first time scotland get a chance of qualifying in ages, we end up playing a country at war and the wc finals will be held in the desert with nae beer. hehe

On footballing matters..... have the Ukranian team had the benefit of a better build up to this game? Lots of their players havent played a match since Feb but they'll have had an extended time together as a squad?
Whereas the scotland squad will have had the usual 2-3 days together pre match.

I didn't realise Ukraine had such a long unbeaten run. I knew the game would be tough, but their record is better than I thought. A lot of draws, but they don't lose.

The crowd is flat, the team are flat and the performance is poor.

Ukraine deservedly in the lead and it could have been more.

Typically insipid Scotland performance. You’d never think there was a World Cup place to play for.

We aren't getting back into this.

I'm not sure if it's the end of the season and nothing left in the players, or the pressure and guilt has got too much.

A shocking performance.

Such a shame. Would love Scotland in our (England) group at a World Cup.

This is hard to watch. We have been dreadful.

The players are so slow, lack effort and just aren't up for this. This isn't Scotland.

Trying to force it too much. One goal would make it interesting if it’s in the next 10 or 15.

All that talk about potentially letting Ukraine through…as if Ukraine needed any favours from Scotland hehe

That is unacceptable. The performance of the players except 1 or 2 players was dreadful. Such a bad performance.

Robertson was woeful tonight. Adams was poor again and Mctominay is never a Scotland player.

Their goalkeeper was awful, but no effort to target him. He flapped at everything.

Ukraine fully deserved to win that. The better football, the better chances and had the fight.

I hope Ukraine win the fight.

Blimey, didn't expect that. Scotland didn't turn up, team and crowd seemed to treat it like a group game, very strange.

Bitterly disappointing.

Just looking at the Scotland line up from the match. At least half the team are practically nobodies. Was there an injury crisis or something?

8 players that played tonight are English Premier League players. Christie will be one next season.

Dykes has made a name for himself playing for Scotland.

Hickey is by reports a £20m player from his performances in Serie A.

Yes there was a couple of big players missing, but that is football.

on a train home after the game, and this sums up my thoughts on the game. dreadful performance from everyone.

from a team/ squad that’s offered so much, fought hard, ground out results in games where we looked dead and buried..…… to fall so flat at the last hurdle was poor.

I have no idea who starts against armenia next wednesday?!? I can see a lot of injuries/ call offs in the next week, very hard to get excited about that game. but fk, if we’re not careful the wheels could fall off the ‘nations league’ very quickly (armenia double header and republic away!) and we’re left languishing on the international scene after the highs of last summers euros!

It's strange that lots of people predicted that motivation would be an issue due to the circumstances and that's what happened. The players and fans were flat.

I also think players will start dropping like flies to get out of the next game. It'll be really flat at Hampden on Wednesday.

Craig Napier has come out as gay.

Given some of the abuse referees get I hope no lowlife uses this against him.

Rangers taking their fans for mugs, again?

“JD Sports and Elite Sports, along with Rangers Football Club, have been accused of conspiring to illegally fix the prices of club merchandise”

Having taken a few weeks off, not been on the forum lately...

My daughter got 2 tickets for the Ukraine game. She did her 2nd yr placement at Oriam, where the national sides prepare for these games, and on the Tuesday, her last day, we bumped into a few of the players.

It was a strange atmosphere, even after the game with Scotland fans applauding the Ukranians in/around Hampden. We looked tired, and gave them so much space and time on the ball, had it not been for Gordons efforts the scoreline could have looked a whole lot worse.

We'd have been humped by Wales on Sunday too if we'd made it that far.

but- we go again!!

armenia tonight and we really need a big performance to bounce back from last week. I’m confident they’ll have a good game tonight. had a week to recover/ have some down time/ keep the legs ticking over/ get the heads back in the game after ukraine.

I’m going to say we get 9 points from next 3 games, a win tonight sets us up to roll over ireland on saturday (who are currently terrible!) before we go away to armenia next week.

i’m over my doom and gloom, and back to felling that we are the best team in the world!!!!

I'm expecting things to be really flat tonight. Players want the season to be over and the disappointment of the WC playoffs has dragged things down.
