turns out it was a fairly comfortable game! the first 5-10mins I started to think we could be running over them 5-0!! but took a while to get the first goal, but had a few chances go a miss.
hampden was pretty flat for most of the game, but we still managed a decent turn out (38k i think?) but kind of to be expected after disappointment of last week.
exactly the result we needed, roll on saturday. now to work out whether i bother getting premier sports for the next 2 games

Is this not meant to be the worst Ireland team in living memory?
yes, they are absolutely terrible, but have pumped us 3-0!!! in the last 7yrs they have only managed to beat- georgia, moldova and gibraltar, well and now scotland!! how quickly things can change, 2 games away from going to the world cup (that’s we fancied our chances winning!) to now getting pumped off a team that have scored 2 goals in their last 11 games.
We were awful against Ukraine. The players did not turn up. The game against Armenia there was a lot more effort. It was an easy win like it should have always been. There was an excessive amount of credit given for that performance and result.
Next game the players think they are going to beat Ireland and fail to turn up again. It's a combination of players not very interested in these games and thinking they are better than they are. The difference in effort and desire was clear to see yesterday.
Robertson, Mctominay and Adams offered nothing again. They all need a rest from the team. McGregor also needs a break as he's playing far too much football.
Henry just isn't a Scotland player. Hanley makes far too many mistakes, but I'm not convinced Souttar and McKenna are any better.
Gilmour came into the team and played well in a few games. It now looks as if expectation has put too much pressure on him.
I think the team are too reliant on Tierney for leadership, desire and quality.

Loving the Rangers fans on Twitter this morning having a meltdown about freezing their nads off at Dingwall on Christmas Eve becuase it's a bit cold up there. What with Glasgow being so famed for its sub-tropical Decembers.
Looking forward to seeing the Honest Men play a league match in Aberdeen for what must be the first time in 45 years this season.

Cinch deal revised so that rangers don’t need to carry out any sponsorship duties. Looks like rangers were in the right all along.
Glad it’s done with now but it just shows you how bad a job Doncaster and co are doing.
Now if we could get some signings in please!
I'm at a loss to why he is still in a job. He blunders from one shambles to another. A complete embarrassment to Scottish football.Glad it’s done with now but it just shows you how bad a job Doncaster and co are doing.

Scottish football will never move on with him and his cronies at the wheel.£1m of the £8m sponsorship has been eaten up in a finders fee to the company that got the deal and all this litigation against rangers.
They’ve revealed today in an article In the athletic that there’s a clause that potentially excludes rangers from being included in any sponsorship deal in the next 4 years while still receiving full benefits of it.
They spent a while with no main league sponsor then pay to have one found for them to only monumentally make an arse of it and leave out one of there 2 main reasons for taking the sponsorship in the first place.
400k a year aswell
