Wolves fan bias slightly showing also.

Jiminez injured last night, likely for 4-6 weeks minimum. More tweaks needed!

Yep, typical.

Wolves have a rather good starting 10 now. But that's it. Our bench is full of 16 year olds biggrin

I'm really trying not to do the typical thing and have Salah like most seem to. Probably going tot bite me, but hey. This is probably the 10th team I've had now hehe

+1

Salah has been a leading point scorer in FPL and with Liverpool having their usual opening day fixture against a promoted side surely having Salah as captain is a no brainer.

Oh for sure - though he's 3rd in terms of % ownership. Jesus and Haaland come out top, and I have both of them, I just don't want Salah for some reason.

I'm surprised that Perišić has such high ownership at 31.4% - I thought it wasn't clear whether he was a starter or not.

Agreed, he's a bit of a gamble like Zinchenko for example.

Probably because he is a left mid (used to be at least?) not a defender so likely to get assists/goals and clean sheets.

No, for me I agree with Sycamore the gamble is that he might not be a starter / might not get the minutes.

I like Perisic - isn't he going to be first choice left back for Spurs? - Who's likely to displace him? Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon are the only others aren't they? And Reguillon hasn't even been on preseason?

Conte likes him.

Scores & assists well. Sure I saw a stat somewhere showing him with a ridiculously high xGA

He's in one of my drafts and I might try to get him into my 2nd...

Why is everyone saying he is a left back? His entire career he has been a left mid/winger

Have I missed some statement here because when you look through his prior matches he has never been a left back.

I had him down as a wingback... Like trent at lpool or james at Chelsea?

Look at him on transfermarkt and click through the seasons, left mid/wing with the odd trip to the right.

Even if you click through fifa player cards over the years has always been left mid except for a singular LWB performance some time last year (got a man of the match in lwb) and the odd CAM when he was younger.

The point you're maybe missing is that he is at Spurs now and Spurs under Conte play a back 3 with wingbacks. So there isn't a left midfield position for him to play in. He is not going to displace Son. He will be a wingback, rotating with Sessegnon

And besides, at the end of the day, what Transfermarkt and FIFA player cards say is irrelevant. The Fantasy Premier League game has him classified as a defender, so you have to pick him has a defender. The hope is that he will be this seasons John Lundstram and amass a serious number of points. The gamble is whether he gets the minutes.

I thought that until I had just one final peek last night....

.... and then an hour later, had swapped Lavia & Mitrovic for Neto & Edouard.

Now I'm not sure whether I've done the right thing and am more in a quandary than I would have been if I'd done nothing!

hehe

My team for this weekend;

Sanchez

Reguilon - Cancelo - Cucurella - White (Ars)

Son - Salah - Harrison

Mitrovic - Darwin - Jesus

Subs: Alison - Murphy (Newc) - Guehi - Lewis-Potter

In two weeks time it will be total different.

Has Jiminez (sp?) gone down with the same knee injury that Calvet-Lewin has? The one that clears up instantly the moment the paperwork is done and the cheque clears.

Looks like Murphy will be on the pitch though as I am sure Cucurella won't be playing this weekend now he has signed for Chelsea.

I've gone the no Salah route, therefore all those that do have him, can sleep easy that he'll now provide a hattrick this weekend laugh
