Amazing result for Forest today that will give them confidence. Nice to see, especially against the RS Liverpool.

I might be proved wrong come May next year but as a Leeds fan I don't think we'll be in a relegation scrap this season.
Ok, after 11 games I'd like to revise my opinion! We're worse off in terms of points than we were this time last season despite having had an arguably easier set of fixtures than we had in the first 11 games of 2021/22; worse, some of the performances have been truly awful and the table doesn't lie. Therefore, unless things change at Elland Road I now think we're very likely to be in a relegation scrap and could easily end-up back in the Championship next season - at the moment it doesn't look like there are 3 teams in the division who are worse than us.

I'd say Wolves are in a worse state as they've got rid of their manager without anyone really lined up. They're now saying January for a manager? And they can't score goals for love nor money at the moment.

I think it is going to be close again for relegation this season. But I also think that the number of points will need to be higher than last season too!

Hard to predict at this stage, even more so with the World Cup break. Like 2 seasons in 1.

Yes WC is going to throw a spanner into the whole works. Also good that no team is adrift at the moment, nothing worse than a single team being spanked 4-0 each week like Norwich were etc.

I think that any of the current bottom 8 could go down. They are all playing badly.

I can't see Lampard or Rogers lasting much longer.

I'm really surprised at how well Fulham are doing.

On current form, Southampton, West Ham & Everton are the 3 worst teams in the league at the moment.

Massive 6 pointers tomorrow with Southampton vs Forest, and Leeds vs. West Ham.

Amazing how many people in this thread said at the start of the season that Brentford would be going down!

Currently I’d say that Southampton definitely but as for the other positions, gawd knows!

Bournemouth, Southampton and Forest going down.

Everton, West Ham and Wolves will start to win a few soon; Wolves have a new manager and the other two will have by the end of the month as well!

The way we give goals away last night three in 10 minutes, I think Everton are certs. Need Frank gone today to stand any chance of survival.

Really depends on whether the board wake up and realise that Moyes playing exactly the same team, exactly the same way, with no plan b each week wont suddenly propel them back into the top 6 again. The malaise at West Ham started last season towards the back end of it, losing in the league regularly and falling out of European contention without much of a fight. Its been on the wane for some time now. New ideas needed there.

I only watched the highlights but Evertons defence was like a comedy act, looked even worse than Liverpools.

I don't think Rodgers is going anywhere sadly.

We need serious investment and/or Rodgers to go to stand any chance of staying up.

If he's still here next season and we somehow do stay up, we'll 100% be going down next season anyway, as we'll lose Tielemans and Maddison in the summer.

Southampton, Bournemouth and Everton/Wolves/Forest/Leicesterbiggrin for me atm.

Looks like Everton are a lost cause now.....and their 72 year run in the top flight is coming to an end, they can't even get a win against the teams in trouble around them in the table.
Can't see where they are going to get any further points from.
Even if they sack Lampard (can they afford to?) what manager in their right mind will want to replace him given what's going on at the club?

They are only 2 points behind. I wouldn't say they are a lost cause yet, but they do need change.

The compensation deals managers get is far too high now. Lampard in the press saying he doesn't fear getting the sack. An already very rich man has nothing to fear when millions more are coming his way for failure. He won't walk away without every penny.

Someone will always take the job. Sean Dyche would be a good choice for the position of the club. Experience of relegation battles and the championship if he can't save Everton.

I’m an Everton season ticket holder and this season, currently, we do look like going down. I was amazed we survived last season but after selling our best player in Richarlison this season was always going to be a big struggle. We aren’t down yet and only a few points from getting out of the bottom 3, but something must change and quick. We are in total free fall. After seeing us survive on the last day Vs Wimbledon, then Coventry I really thought it will never happen again. Dreading the future of the club currently.

As an Everton fan I said earlier in the thread that we wouldn't go down. I'm now of the opinion we're going down, we've done nothing to address any of our issues and we've just accepted our fate. If we went down kicking and screaming and making efforts to win games I wouldn't be so disappointed as I am at the moment.

There are massive issues within the club, we don't seem to have any sense of direction, we've a board that have absolved themselves of any blame for our situation and a chairman that blames the fans. Its not even clear who actually owns the club with Usmanov having sat in for interviews with potential managers. It's an utter shambles, the sooner we have a clear out from the chairman down the better.
