The Leeds v Leicester result really didn’t suit either team imo.

As an Everton fan I think we're going down, we're the lowest scoring team in all of the English football leagues.
This is your major problem.

The stats people have you as being the one to go along with Forest and Southampton, with a 52% chance of relegation, against Leeds 47% chance.
It's been obvious all season, yet we didn't try to resolve the situation in January. It's frustrating how badly we've been run by Moshiri and Kenwright, if we go down the blame is 100% down to those clowns

Well, that Forest win has put an unexpected cat among the pigeons.....

BHA just did 120 mins against United, a lot of people said Forest would win tbf.

Our match vs. Everton on Monday is key, the loser will genuinely go down.

I think we need 7 points from 5 games, with our GD that should be enough. Definitely won’t need more than 8. If we lose to Everton there’s no way we achieve that.

Would have liked a point against Liverpool last night to really edge us further away (yeah thanks VAR for bottling looking at that handball) but its still very much in West Ham hands...the only thing is the wafer thin squad and all the games to play, potentially three big European games in amongst the remaining PL games. We played Thursday Sunday then Wednesday so not surprised they ran out of steam last night.

But yes I still think there are a few more shock results in the pipeline, be interesting to see how Southampton fair ... key couple of weeks coming up for all teams involved.

I realise West Ham have had a disappointing season but there's no way I see you going down; for me the relegated teams are now likely to be three from Southampton, Forest, Leicester, Everton and us (Leeds). Maybe Bournemouth could get dragged back into it as well but I reckon one win will see them safe and with their remaining games I think they're likely to achieve that (if not tonight then probably against us on Sunday!).

That's Southampton pretty much as good as gone now I'd say.

Must be interesting to be a Bournemouth fan, quite a few competent performances with the occasional absolute battering

Agreed the Saints are done, Everton really need some results very soon

A big day in the relegation battle today.

That was the final nail for Southampton tonight. Leicester are now strong favourites to join them now.

Facing an in form Liverpool and then Newcastle .... looks like they will be joining Southampton (and Leeds?)

Leicester do have the toughest run in. Liverpool and Newcastle both have something to play for.

I think Leeds will go too.

Bonkers day....

Newcastle and West Ham will play a big part in the relegation battle, as amazingly, with only 3 games left, Leeds and Leicester both have to play Newcastle and West Ham in 2 of their last 3 matches...!

Fully deserve to go down, said it for months. We’ll drop again next season unless major changes at board level are made, one of the worst run clubs in the country since Vichai died.

Agreed - I think the three in the relegation zone now (Leicester, Leeds and Southampton) will be the three to go down. And in actual fact, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see us (Leeds) go down without getting another point.

West Ham do still have the European factor to consider...although by the time of the Leeds game they will know if they are in the final or not, either way there will be some serious fatigue for the West Ham squad having gone to AZ on the Thursday night and played out a game then face Leeds on Sunday.

As an Everton fan, I still think we need 3 or 4 points to be sure that we stay up this season

I don’t any team with 37 points gets relegated. 36 is probably the target for likely safety.

Southampton, Leeds Leicester look the most likely for the door.

Massive win for Everton and with CL back, I think they have enough to stay clear now.

2002/3 West Ham were relegated with 42 points.

I remember that, still the highest points total to be relegated in PL history maybe without googling it? There was definitely a feeling of 'too good to go down' at the time, the likes of Joe Cole/Carrick/David James/Sinclair/Jermaine Defoe (who we know then went on to offer a get me outta here straight after the last game) etc. I think the team above were two points clear and better goal difference so we would have needed 45 points to stay up...so much more dross in the PL this season!
