You’d really hope our players will be massively up for this game, take some pride in the shirt, play as a team and win comfortably.
You would think so, but the available evidence recently suggests something else. If they feck that up they should all be sacked.
I said a few weeks back, I think the players had already given up in the PL, as there’s been nothing to play for once a CL spot became unattainable. They’re just going through the motions and get picked week in week out irrespective of performance, it’s so frustrating.

With a Cup to play for, they really need to show up.

Well to be fair the one time recently they really did show up was the Cup game against Liverpool, so fingers crossed.

Does anyone on this thread honestly believe that even the games they have won in the PL this season, Utd have been the better team. I listened to the commentary on 5L driving back this evening, it was torture to listen to for a 100 mins, can’t all be ETH, but this must be the worst Utd squad for some years.

The cheating barstewards. They are watering the end united are attacking in the second half and spiking the end they will be attacking.
Who would have thought a few years ago that Manchester United fans would be whining about Bournemouth watering the pitch?

Aren’t you ashamed to have written that?

Why? It's a comment about something Bournemouth have done. People probably made similar comments when Fergie was around and Utd where winning trebles.

Why should be ashamed to write that? Should we be ashamed to write that another player dived?

Dalot was the problem in the first half. How many times did he rush forward and leave a gap behind?

I've never rated him tbh.

Nothing will change until the manager changes. You could give him another gazillion to spend and another 17 of his players and we’d see the same problems.

He’s literally setting the team up to play this way, and has said as much. This is his plan.

We should have got rid many months ago when it was glaringly obvious where this was heading, and we still had the chance of salvaging champions league qualification.

The big question is, will the bookies have us or Coventry as favourites next weekend biglaugh

Yay another manager. Another load of players bought in, another squad bloated, mish mash of styles and none we can get rid of due to contracts.

It will be interesting to see what happens because Ashworth, Wilcox, Berrada cannot do any official work for the club until after the notice period but will no doubt be having conversations.

It looks like if FFP changes we have more wiggle room to make signings but does Ashworth, Berrada and Wilcox need to be those people in to make the decisions? And who from our current squad should be sold to make way.

Ineos always say walk before run and knowing the mistakes they made at Nice with managers and squad I suspect they might take their time and give ETH one more season

I agree with others what’s most strange about ETH is his complete reluctance to do anything differently, that’s just madness when we can see it doesn’t work so why can’t he?

Surely it would be worth trying a different formation or style and adapting this to the players we have and their abilities? Too many round pegs and square holes.

It doesn’t help that he can’t communicate very clearly, I mean I always find his interviews hard work to understand.

While I am not one who likes a managerial merry go round, as that can be counter-intuitive, it’s hard to see him in this role past this season. Who replaces him, I have no idea though.

Man Utd, I mean this is a club happy to employ Steve McLaren as second in command and ETH is someone prepared to tolerate it. It's become a home for losers. Just look at this incredible CV...

I wouldn't hire a cleaner with a CV that shonky. He's seen more moves than a chess tournament. Be gone!

I suspect they’re a lot smarter than that. Time will tell.

If one recalls correctly, even the Everton win was fortuitous, Everton racked up a number of chances.

Our current league form is dire. Challenge you to find a team with worse form Suspect even Burnely and Sheff Utd may be on better form, they appear to be picking up points recently.

.
Eriksen and Caseinro where the the holder last season, but case form has dropped off a cliff and Eriksen can't play more than an hour.

What are your options? Play McSauce? Mainoo is the bright spark but your asking an 18yr old to be the best midfielder you have. This season has been lots of square pegs round holes.

In terms of communication give the guy a break. English is his second language, has a very thick Dutch accent so of course it's going to be difficult to communicate clearly.

He is known for being a very good coach, not the manager.

A very good coach? Oh yes, look at all the plentiful evidence of his incredible coaching skills. You see it week in, week out at United. Put him in the bin.

Surely he could just relay everything through Steve, there should be no communication issues there....

So in that case sack all of them. There is a huge difference between being a manager and being a coach. You can be great at one and poor at another

Just because he has a poor record as a manager doesn't mean he is a bad coach.
