Received the most random message last night from a friend of mine. He asked me if I knew of a player called Henri Lansbury. Obviously I have so I said yes, why's that..... Turns out my mate is on holiday in Barbados & was chatting to this family out there who they had never met before, ended up having dinner with them & it turns out to be Henri's mother, father & sister!

read that both Burnley and 'Boro are after signing Assombalonga for £10m
Thats too cheap IMO and if they sell him now he's fit again, we can wave goodbye to any chance of pushing up the table next season
I agree as we tend to replace our "better" players with "journey men" & this will not win you titles.Thats too cheap IMO and if they sell him now he's fit again, we can wave goodbye to any chance of pushing up the table next season
Hopefully the new owner will recognize this & just put the most ridiculous price tag on any player we want to keep rather than just letting them go for peanuts. Assombalonga I would literally put a 30 million price tag on him & not a penny less. If somebody is willing to pay that, so be it.

Cue social media meltdown tonight!
I'm sorry to see Britt go, but there is more to a club than one striker. And who knows, the money could go in to someone of a similar standard.
I'll bet there are some disgruntled fans with 2017/18 shirts with his name on the back!
I get that Britt wanted to go & that was probably the main reason why Forest let him go. 60k per week, wouldn't you?I'm sorry to see Britt go, but there is more to a club than one striker. And who knows, the money could go in to someone of a similar standard.

My problem is, who do we replace him with? Yes there are lots of good 20 goal per season strikers but are they for sale? Do they want to come to Forest for potentially a wage cut? Probably not so the only answer is to buy somebody from a lower league & hope that they bang in some goals, which isn't likely to happen I am afraid. That then leaves us with our current strikers - are they going to all of a sudden grow a pair & bang goals in? in what is probably the toughest Championship league that we are likely to be in....... I fear that our season could already be over before it's begun! Yes, I really do feel that strongly about keeping hold of your better players.
Which is it Michael - City Ground or Emirates Stadium?
One suspects that the Reds will not be too concerned about the FA Cup, although the players will be determined to put on a good show against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Even if Arsenal put out a weakened team, it is hard to see the North London outfit lose to Forest at the City Ground.

Agree with all of that.
In 2013, I wrote a book about Yeovil's first 10 years in the Football League and he was voted in the best XI players of that time. We asked him to come down and be presented on the pitch along with the other ten, and despite having the second furthest to travel, he made the trip. Before he returned home, I asked him for a quick pic and he was more than happy.
Excuse the pic.

For me it's about Karanka chopping & changing things too much along with bringing in 9 players, 7 of which are loan signings. This must have a negative effect on the other lads who have been there for a while. We all know that loan signings will potentially only play to prove a point but this does not benefit the club what so ever as we need players willing to wear this shirt with pride & go out there & give 100% in every single game.
