Interesting - I'd think of Colback and Cook as being good enough for the Prem - or at least competitive. I mean - its not realistic to expect to compete and beat top six sides, that's another league altogether.
But in the other games - I think they will be fine. We have to expect some tough days and a few matches where we are unpicked by experienced and talented teams with multi year Prem budgets and global top ranking players and managers.
But we should taking points and wins at home against the lower ten sides, to me this squad should be capable and I think we have an advantage with the Manager we have over some of the others teams.
Outside of Pep and Klopp - I wouldn't swap him for anyone..

Unfortunately (or not) living on the South Coast, I couldn't justify a season ticket for the few matches I could attend or my pension could afford.
Will have to rely on my "old Red hero" family member to get me one for the really interesting games
I'll be flying in from Guernsey to get to games. I don't have a season ticket, but I do have a membership that should get me a ticket to each match. I won't be going to all the home games so I'm happy to help if you wanted a ticket for any game I'm not going to. We have no option but to spend, with only Johnson, Worral, McKenna being potential Premiership quality and Cook, Yates, Cafu and Colback really just back up squad players.
Teams like Bournemouth who have been up and down and have a strong squad of mainly Premiership players and benefitted from Golden Parachute payments haven't needed to add in anywhere near the same volume.
Cooper's got a though task, but I am confident he has the ability to get them to gel.
Just glad we have EM and Dane running the club.
Has Cafu ever really been given an extended run in the team? He seems to have been with us for ages, but I really cant recall him starting games. It could easily be my poor memory though!

I think Yates can step up. Cook and Colback i am less sure of, although I think Cook would be helped out by his other defenders.

I think Niakate will be starting ahead of Cook, he will probably used to give others a rest and maybe used in our cup runs to the finals.Has Cafu ever really been given an extended run in the team? Looking at YT Mangala looks pretty impressive reminds me a bit of Kante, but bigger and maybe stronger.
Seems like this one is over the line also, nicking him from West Ham's grasp
Yeah you wouldn't want to be keeping the ball from him for too long, looks an absolute beast. Seems like this one is over the line also, nicking him from West Ham's grasp
Happy the Cooper is moving us away from our tag as a bit light weight in a heavy weight division. We have often struggled against the more physical sides.

Agree it was the midfield where I felt we were overrun too often, he looks like he will give us some steel in there.Happy the Cooper is moving us away from our tag as a bit light weight in a heavy weight division. We have often struggled against the more physical sides.

I’ll be there. Renewed my season ticket early. Brian Clough upper.
Did you get an Away Season ticket too?I am travelling up from London on the Sunday morning, and slightly nervous about sharing the train with a load of West Ham fans....
It would be nice to see some premier league away ends but family commitments (and fixtures being all over the place) means it’ would be an unreasonable commitment on my part.
Interesting about Lingard
"That suggestion has now been questioned. According to the Telegraph , Lingard was offered a salary of £127,000-a-week at West Ham, along with a signing on fee of nearly £1 million.
It is said that at Forest, Lingard is earning a basic £80,000-per-week plus add-ons. It has previously reported that could see him earn around £120,000 a week. The report adds that the move for the player was never about the money and that he was impressed by the club’s determination to sign him this summer, as well as how he fit into the style of play under Steve Cooper."
