Same. Can see one of my kids in the crowd too!The thing is, this time last year we thought we had an average PL side, and, we would more than likely be looking at a relegation battle.
But, we expect more this season, and if do well, a lot of our players will be on the move again, we just can't compete when it comes to wages!
I'm really looking forward to this season, and our new team!

Didn't see/watch or listen to the game as unable to, but reading the Liverpool thread it seems Saints played pretty well. Is that the general consensus?
I would say so. You look a decent side - well organised with a bit a class here and there.on 88 minutes our keeper made an amazing save to keep it at 2-1

Would have taken that score this morning but after that performance we deserved something from the game.
We have to take our chances. Two gilt edge chances to win the game. Davis just had to put his foot through the ball and we were 2-1.
Overall though a good team performance. For a team that supposedly is in meltdown we did not look it.
Going to be a good season on that performance.

Tadic for way less than half the fee we got for Lallana - that's looking like very good business.
After Sunday's game, I am even more convinced of this.Plenty of confidence and good football; with that display we look like being upper mid-table again.
Also nice to see that Koeman has confidence enough in Isgrove to bring him on in the second half.
BTW, is J-Rod still injured?
Slightly bittersweet - Millwall didn't field a full-strength side, and we went there to win. That said, the Den is never an easy place to go to, but it still doesn't fill me with confidence. I'd like to see a good cup run this year though - there won't be much else to sing about!
Glad Pelle's officially opened his account, and from the sound of things, Long's work rate was second to none, especially in the first half. Good for Corky to get his first goal too.
We really do need another winger though. Long should really be support for Pelle in the centre, and Isgrove isn't ready to step up to a starter on the left (though I think he's good as backup). Not convinced Ramirez is the answer on the left, and he's a sicknote anyway. JRod was great on the left, but he's also useful up front and may well play alongside Long/Pelle nicely should we play two up front, so I'm hoping we'll see a left winger (keep Tadic on the right as he hooks up well with Clyne) and possibly a full back before the window shuts. We also need a backup keeper, as Boruc is going to lose his international place if he's not a starter, and great as Kelvin is, he's not PL standard. But then what half decent keeper would sign on knowing they're second fiddle to Forster (who is absolutely quality by the way!)
