I couldn't get one for Leicester the other day!
You probably don't want to hear this, but there were tickets still being sold the day before the game - limited availability perhaps, but on sale nonetheless.Kitchski said:
There was the odd seat here and there right up to KO I think, but I wanted two.
If you don't mind being on your feet, I've heard it said that you could buy 2 seats anywhere in Itchen North and you +1 could simply yomp up near the back where everyone stands, anyway. Not that I'd ever condone such unruly behaviour, obviously.
Did anyone else read the rumour of Lambert returning to SM in January on a loan?
Surely it was hugely predictable that he wouldn't get many first team appearances at Anfield and his England chances would suffer? Given the move was supposedly his swan song to fill the coffers playing for his boyhood club until retirement it all seems a bit unlikely.

Why would he want to come here and sit on the bench ?Surely it was hugely predictable that he wouldn't get many first team appearances at Anfield and his England chances would suffer? We have had our best days out of him. Move on. He is not up to our standard now

In seriousness, the xmas period and squashed in games will be a little tense to see the strength and depth of our squad.
He will always be a legend here but you have to move on not backwards.
My fears were nearly reality there. I actually think the Int. breaks do us no favours at all, as once you've got momentum it's hard to get it going again once you've lost it. Still, it's a point against a very organised Villa defence. The fact we've gone to Villa Park (arguably a much bigger club than us), and come away with a point still speaks volumes about how well we're doing today. The 35/65 possession doesn't look too shabby either
Just not our night. On to the 6-pointer against Citeh.

We did not play well last night and yet we come away with a point which is good. It was the final ball which in my opinion was not there. Posession was good and to have 65% away from home is incredible but we lacked the edge that we have had in previous games.
It shows how different expectations are when we are disappointed with a point from Villa park. 26 points after 12 games is amazing by anyones standards.
Really looking forward to the next 3 games. It will show whether we are in the mix and I hope that it's a tough game for Man city tonight and that our lads are enjoying an extra days rest.
Think we missed Davis last night
