Cant see you staying in the top 6 now - shame as you have been really good this year ...
Still, I am sure anyone of you would have taken top 8 this year.
Top 6 is a tough call but we are still in with a shout.Still, I am sure anyone of you would have taken top 8 this year.
I do not think we will finish lower than 7th. That will for me still be a great season. Plus it would be 6 successive seasons where we have finished higher than the previous season.
I see that we have the 6th richest owner in the Premier league. Looks like money will never be an issue
15 Mar - Chelsea (a)
21 Mar - Burnley (h)
4 Apr - Everton (a)
11 Apr - Hull (h)
18 Apr - Stoke (a)
25 Apr - Spuds (h)
2 May - Sunderland (a)
9 May - Leicester (a)
16 May - Villa (h)
24 May - Citeh (a)
10 games to go and in 7th position. I'd have loved to see Spuds below but there you go. When you can't score, you can't win! If someone had said Saints would be 7th in March at the beginning of the season then chances are you would have been surprised.
What are the threadists' thoughts for the final push? Will the 2 week gap help Pelle find the net again (he was not happy at being subbed). Is Ron correct about 60 points being enough for Europe and can Saints take 11 points from 10 games? You'd've said so at the start of the season, but now?

I see 13 points in that list of games. I hope.
I don't want the season to fizzle out and I hope that we can push a bit more. The Spurs game will be key as will getting some goals back in the team. Shame Jay has not come back yet, but it might put teams off buying him for another season.

6th is Europe if I am not mistaken unless the League Cup is won by a team in the Europa League places, which it was not. Or there is some FairPlay thingy. Who knows.
Points for me are irrelevant. Won't make top six IMO, stoke and co will not catch.
I see 15 points out of that lot, our away for is decent. That will leave us on 64, but still miss Europe.

I thought Chelsea winning the LC meant 7th qualified for Europa League? I could well be incorrect, however.
I think I am correct in saying that the Chelski league cup win took the Europa cup qualifying place down to 6th. If a top 4 side wins the FA cup it will go down to 7th. All this changes if Everton win the Europa cup !SaintsPaul said:

You are correct, apart from the Everton situation, if and that is huge IF we win the Europa, then there will be 5 English teams in next years CL.And of course the possibility of the first Championship team to play in the CL

The 4th place team will go into the Europa cup as no country can have more than 4 teams in the Champions League.

Could you imagine Everton winning the Europa & Liverpool finishing 4th.
