Well, I can't see him being the manager at the end of the season as things are.
He’s safe if the club procrastinates like it did during the transfer window.

That was a very good game yesterday.

WBA played well, but, it showed that we have really good players, they just need to perform to their abilities!

WBA are bottom of the league- Saints still have a muppet for a manager

Pleased with the result, and the tactics switched to actually allow the players to get forward (last roll of the dice?)

Not convinced we're out of the myre yet, and far from convinced about the manager. Ask me again after 3 games if we're turned a corner.

We're gone and we totally deserve it! From the top (owners) to the bottom (players) we are a completely feeble shower of st!!

It's really sad as it was all so avoidable.

Farewell Premier League.

Shocking amount of effort and commitment from the players. We look inept all of the time

There is still hope, but not much sadly. It may go down to the last day. I still do not understand why MP is still in a job.

Agreed, hope not in our ability but that other teams are stter than us frown

I think Stoke will pull something out the bag, so that just leaves us hoping Palace and West Ham continue their poor form as well.

We are going down unless something changes dramatically. I also have no idea how MP is still in a job, he should have been sacked 5 months ago.

Stoke are playing Palace second to last game of the season...that could be what saves us.

We have West Ham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester, Bournemouth, Everton and City.

I can't see any points between Arsenal, Chelsea or City. Even Bournemouth I think we'll lose. Maybe a point against Everton and Leicester and possibly a win against West Ham.

So four, maybe five points. I can see Stoke doing better than us.

Let's hope it's not too late, and, we find that the players weren't playing for him, and pull their socks up!

The football played under his leadership has been dire and lacking in any spark (or entertainment) - it's been cowardly, toothless, wholly predictable and with zero threat. It's certainly been a long time since I've come out of St Mary's with a buzz - Everton was probably the last game, and that was when they were dismal too.

I appreciate that Les, Wreck-it-Ralph & co didn't want to lose face by sacking Pelligrini so soon after getting rid of Puel, but I really am surprised the guy managed to last as long as he did.

Just hope it's not too late and the troops can be rallied for a final push.

Good news but whoever takes over has a real mission. Marco Silva is the bookies' favourite according to BBC South

It's Mark Hughes now. The merry go round continues.

I don't know what to make of Mark Hughes to be honest.
The whole season has been a bit of a disaster really, and this doesn't feel like a new start.
If he can at least stick a rocket up Tadic/Boufal and get them going that would be something, Just got to go balls out to get the points this season to stay up and worry about next season later.
Although having said that, when we were in League 1 and Championship that was great with Adkins in charge, really enjoyed going to the games and being away from the circus that the Premier League has become.
