Get in lads!

We stepped it up in the 2nd half of the 2nd half with a few of the A team!

West Ham look like they've run out of steam a bit...

I live in a Chelsea / Saints / WHU family so today the group text was buzzing hehe

Glad for saints though, and that Broja bagged another!

3-1 probably flattered Saints a little, but a very solid performance nonetheless.

Here's hoping for another home draw for the quarters.

And genius to have Lovecats and Cool for Cats blaring around the stadium at half-time.

I do hope it was appreciated by Mr Zouma biggrin

How WH lost that is a mystery but I am happy for Saints

Thankfully Djenepo was taken off at half time - he was terrible.

I assume there is no chance of keeping Broja next season.

Next up: Villa away on Saturday

Having got decent results against bigger teams in the last few games, all true Saints Fans should be looking at the next few fixtures against teams below us and thinking 'we will lose them all'. biggrin

Saints missed a trick in January. They should simply have asked Chelsea how much they wanted and paid without haggling.

There will be a host of clubs after him in the summer, including Chelsea probably.

Just watched the FA Cup draw. We couldn't have wished for better! At home, the team on a roll, and jet's get really behind them.

How can we suddenly become a top-ten team, playing as such, and then play like that? Just like earlier in the season, frankly. Next Thursday home to Newcastle, another recently reinvigorated team. I wonder? But surely next Sunday we should at least get a draw - won't we?

I wouldn't be so sure. Football is a fickle thing! Or at least if you're a Saints fan hehe

Do we think we now stand a better chance of buying Broja given what is happening at Chelsea....?

I believe they can't do any business for the foreseeable so no sales...

If you are an optimist you might hope the loan would be extended, if you are a pessimist you might think he will be recalled to Chelsea if they can't bring in any other new players....

Currently if no new contracts can be signed by Chelsea until the period of freezing ends then presumably he'll go back at the end of this season and play for Chelsea next season.

Who knows what will change at the end of this season though.

The way Broja has played this season (immense), I would be very surprised if he wasn't retained at Chelsea next year.

This is all the more likely if they remain subject to a transfer ban.

If you've read the latest on Abramovitch, Chelsea cannot be sold, they cannot sell a ticket to a match (except season holders who can attend) and they certainly can't sell any players, nor buy either. Completely stuck in aspic until this is all settled.

Yeah having read up on it more it doesn't look great for us. Also with other young prospects who we've been linked with from them.

Looks like we're back to our dismal displays from earlier in the season too. How can the same group of players be so good, then so st?! No middle ground!

How can we go from playing really well to utterly st so quickly?

You're a Southampton supporter. You ought to know how we do it! Just as we have always done since time immemorial, except that most seasons are worse than this. Personally, I think they have looked at the league table, seen we are safe this year, and won't start playing again until next season.
