I'm out of touch on the new owners, but there seemed to be some question marks about the takeover. Did it happen and if so will that bring money to strengthen the squad and perhaps a change of manager? As said above, if the first third of next season is like the last third of this one Saints are set to follow the example of Norwich this season. One can only wonder. The only good thing about this season is that we stayed up.
It happened. But from what I gather I don't think it's going to change much in terms of investment. Will a new manager alone make much difference? I'm not sure. We need some proper first team quality that can come straight in and improve us now. Not players who may or may not be decent in a couple of years time.

As Saints fans, isnt that what we've always hoped for? How often in previous years has it gone to they wire (or worse)?

I'd like Ralph to stay, i think he can do a great job with some spending money, perhaps not Europe but top half of the table, a la Brighton, would suffice.

'Saints can confirm a change within the coaching team in the Men’s First Team environment, making the decision to part with Kelvin Davis, Dave Watson and Craig Fleming'.

"Hasenhuttl has been told thus far that he retains the faith of the new ownership".

That's his bags packed then.

Reflecting on the season we had a great middle but a poor start and finish.
Hard to point at a single thing but a number include
Romeu being injured
Lack of creativity late in the season
Missing a serious goalscorer (Broja has potential but is not ours)
Lack of a decent centre back pairing who really command the game.
Etc

We need a few decent signings and a couple
Of youth to come through

Fixtures say we have Spurs away first game of the season

I'm not sure it matters too much who we play and when as you have to play everyone home and away

Romeo Lavia..... first one this summer I'm excited about (half excited about Bazunu). Getting young Clarence Seedorf vibes......

He would be a very good signing if we can get him. I read that Leeds were also interested.
We still need a goalscorer. Any chance of Broja coming back?

Papers say the deal is agreed, but with a buy back clause.

Apparently Bednarek has been told he can leave for £15m...

Thoughts on new kit? I like it even if it's a departure from the usual stripes

Good news on the deal and a buy back is to be expected.
We do need shoring up at the back and if that means another centre back then great

Would like to see Levi Colwill in and Bednarek out.

Definitely need attacking additions! No chance of Broja I wouldn't have thought.

Unless Broja is coming on loan, I would guess that we cannot get close to affording him

We really need a couple of youngsters to step up to the first team and really push for a place. In the past we've had 3-4 who look like they will make it and 1 of them usually gets a good run in the team e.g. Stevens, JWP. I'm not sure I see who is coming through

It is being reported that 2 of our 16 year olds are going to Newcastle. Supposedly for £6500 a week. Not bad at 16 !!!
