We won’t go down. We’ll finish 15th, below the likes of sodding Millwall and Brentford.

Some of the U23 players will be handed their debuts to the first team soon. Let’s see how they fare. There has been a lot of investment in the squad so hopefully that will result in a few decent players.

I'm inclined to agree that the clubs best signing this season is the host on LUTV.

I love Emma. I keep wondering whether she'd think I was odd if I hung around to meet her after a game....

Of course she would laugh

We are dire though. I've never heard so many fellow supporters say the same thing; they've just given up caring when we lose now. Apathy really has set in.

I think it's perhaps been more disappointing this season because we made a half decent start and flattered to deceive. However, the reality is the first eleven has been weaker than the one we had last season and I reckon some serious work is needed over the summer if we're going to be competitive next season. My real worry is PH isn't looking like a man capable of doing the job and hence there's a risk the 2018/19 campaign will be a write-off before it even starts....

I don't like to write someone off so quickly, but he genuinely hasn't inspired me either. He just seems like a generic "put 11 players out and leave them to it" coach to me.

Already talking about bringing in 3 of his former players from Barnsley. How are they going to improve the side?

And he's said to the media yesterday that we only have a "mid-table" budget for next season.

Hardly inspires confidence.

Would it have been better to have him say we have a huge budget and then end up paying over the odds for players as a result?

The teams with parachute payments will have more money to play with. Teams with owners who find ways to get round FFP rules will have more to play with.

If Radrizzani does end up copying the Wolves model then next season could be interesting. We need to tie Pablo down to a new contract first.

I’ll be renewing this evening, keep forgetting to do so.

Well, if Sunderland don't end-up in League 1 next season they'll only survive by the skin of their teeth yet we still could only mange a draw with them at home. In the early part of the season we beat them easily at their place so just goes to show how we've lost our way since Xmas; major remedial work needed over the summer if we're going to challenge for the top six next season

Dont know why you say that about major remedial work needed?

This has happened so many times in the last 10-15 years I have almost given up on them... Fantastic/amazing first half, after Xmas we go to st and end up mid table after not winning a game for months.

I really cant figure out why, at times we have had squad depth, sometimes a decent leader, we just go to pot.

The phrase is "when Sunderland end up in League 1 next season".

Not if.

You think there isn't major remedial work needed and that the squad we have can challenge for a top six position next season? I don't think we're anywhere near at the moment and that's why I say major work is needed over the summer.

As for being in a good place and fading away many times over the last 10-15 years, I'm not sure I'd agree with that either. We certainly did last season and we have done this season after a decent first half; however, generally I don't think we've been serious contenders for a play-off place for quite a while and certainly not for automatic promotion. I think they've been good reasons for that - mainly owners that have made a mess of things and made it very difficult for whoever was manager - but personally I think our record has been one of consistent under achievement since we got promoted back to the Championship.

To be honest I'm not actually sure we've made a great deal of progress on the pitch since Simon Grayson was sacked and that's over 6 years ago now; I also think we have a worse squad now than we had a year ago so yes, I think a lot of work is required over the summer!

Never say never but it's out of your hands now and I fear you may be right. Will be a shame to see a club of the size of Sunderland in League 1 but we've obviously been there and know the feeling; I'd like to say that even if you bounce back quickly to the Championship we'll be in the Premier League by then but somehow I'm not convinced about that!

The only people I feel for are the workingz everyday folk who arr losing their jobs due to cost cutting.

The rest of 'em, owner, players, coaching, management etc etc can fk off, irked

We might win a few games down there I guess, that would be nice to see, but I said that about this league too rofl

I’m not renewing my support if they do go, why are people in charge of our club such a liability with no scruples...
