Yes, a lot of the hype in the media has been well over the top and IMHO it's far too soon to be talking about promotion after only a handful of games! I think Boro will provide a serious test tomorrow night so it will be interesting to see how we get on......

59% possession, 3 goals, each from different players. Again. I know the Canaries haven't been in great form, but that could have been a banana skin, how many times have we slipped up on what should have been an easy win? From what I heard on the radio, after an initial bit of mediocrity at the start, Leeds seem to get back into business as usual. Only 2 shots on our goal probably shows that the defence is improving. Middlesbrough on Friday will be a real test though!

Still rather shocked that in any given match LUFC are the once playing stylish precision football...
Don't flatter yourselves, we (Norwich) thus far have been dreadful this season, can't defend for toffee and unless some decent loanee defenders (RB, CB) are announced today we'll be in a relegation dogfight. Taking nothing away from Leeds though..., it's good to see a team attacking in numbers rather than the usual 'keep it tight, just don't concede' blueprint for success. It'll be interesting to see if Bielsa continues the same and also if he avoids your traditional post-Christmas slump (or 'choke' to many wink ). Good luck for the season.

Tough test, will take the point. We had a few chances, much better in the second half though.

We missed Pablo’s magic, hopefully he will be back soon.

To go into the international break still top of the table having played a few decent sides (and Norwich) is pretty good. Early days yet but the signs are promising.

Yes, as expected Boro provided a tough test and to be honest I never thought we looked like scoring last night; to be fair neither did they from open play but with their height they were certainly dangerous from set-pieces and I'll be very surprised if they're not top 6 at the end of the season (and quite possibly top 2).

We did miss Hernandez and worryingly I thought there were signs of Saiz being a bit anonymous again in the way he was for much of last season; he's very good when he's in the mood and on his game but that doesn't seem to happen consistently enough. Shame to see go Berardi go off injured as generally he's been playing well; however, we do at least have Jansson as a potential replacement and for me he's still our best centre back anyway!

Good to head to the international break in top spot but, as you say, a long way to go and I think it could be the turn of the year before we find out how real or otherwise our promotion/play-off challenge is likely to be. One big question is how we'll cope with injuries and suspensions and in that context it was interesting to hear Keith Andrews say on Sky last night he'd rather have Boro's squad than ours because it appears to have more strength in depth.....

"We're all Leeds. Aren't we?"

Out of the Spurs cringe factor of sayings.

Bamford out for up to 4 months PCL injury - are we overly bothered with this news currently? Not here.

Only an issue if Roofe picks up an injury. We do have the lad in the under 23s doing well so he could fit in if needed.

Which apparently he has! Seems Tyler Roberts is going to our main striker at Millwall on Saturday; apparently lots of potential but a big step-up for him and I don't think he's ever played a Championship game?

Equally worrying is the fact Hernandez is still injured; definitely one of our better players in the early games and IMO he was much missed against Boro where we created very little. Hopefully he - and Roofe - will be back soon!

3 and 5 weeks respectively according to radio Leeds this morning

Now we'll see how well the squad works

Yes, this high intensity style is all well and good but with the number of games in the Championship I fear you might need a squad with more strength in depth than ours to carry it off for a whole season.

Only time will tell whether that's the case but trips like the one to Millwall tomorrow will provide an early test; they're the sort of games we've got to come through if we're going to sustain a promotion challenge so it will be interesting to see how we get on. The equivalent fixture last year proved to be an "Emperor has no clothes" moment for Thomas Christiansen's team so lets hope history doesn't repeat itself this time around!

8 games down and business as usual then, only with a slightly different line-up. Lots of positive comments on Twitter tonight, not least a couple of newspaper reporters who said "Leeds didn't miss anyone tonight". That has to be good for player confidence.

Disappointing performance and result against Birmingham at the weekend, will now be interesting to see how we react when we visit the Owls on Friday evening....

2 absolute howlers to let in & didn't get going for 20 minutes. Unlucky not to get a point at the death but 71% possession & we need to create clearer opportunities.

Well if that game against the Owls tonight had been a boxing match it would have been stopped; how we didn't take all three points I really don't know! However, on the positive side it was a very good performance and if we can sustain that level we'll surely win more games than we lose...

I counted 9 Hull City players between Tyler Roberts and the goal when he kicked that ball! As someone put it, Hull parked the team bus in front of goal, but left a window open.

It is SO frustrating seeing what we could be doing with our attackers back at work. With another hefty 67% possession, it could have been a lot more than 1-0. Again. I'm going to get a keyboard macro made that says that I think, it'll save time overall. Anyway, that is another midweek grindy match out of the way, and we are averaging 2 points per game now, and yet West Brom could still overtake us if they win their game in hand! One more game and we will be 1/4 of the way through the season.

A nice quote from the Hull boss, which may come back to bite us, but for now I'll take it. He said "We've probably played against one of the best teams in the Championship I've seen in many years". As a Leeds fan, it is a long time since we have heard words like that. You know you are doing something right when Man U fans start demanding they sign Marcelo Bielsa as their manager hehe

Didn't think we played that well against Hull last night; we deserved to win but for me the performance wasn't anywhere near as good as against Sheffield Wednesday (a game we also deserved to win but somehow didn't!).

I think we have to expect teams to set-up defensively against us but in some ways that's a compliment. However, when they do we need to show a bit more creativity to break them down than we did last night - think we're missing Hernandez in that respect but don't think he's going to be fit to return until after the next international break?

Think Brentford will be an interesting and potentially tough game at the weekend. Parking the bus isn't really their style so it could be an entertaining match if they come to play and try to take it to us; think they're one of the highest scorers in the division so our defence (and goalkeeper!) will need to be awake and have their wits about them on Saturday. Just hope Barry Douglas is fit to play as a) he's one of our best players and b) we have precious little cover for his position...

Well, a couple of indifferent performances and results against Brentford and Blackburn in our last two matches; I don't really think many Leeds fans believed it was going to be the walk in the park some pundits were making out after a handful of games at the start of the season but if they did reality ought to have hit home by now!

Ipswich at home on Wednesday and we really need to be getting back to winning ways; they're struggling down at the bottom so anything less than 3 points and a convincing performance will be both disappointing and ever so slightly worrying....

We managed both thankfully. All over them in the second half, should have easily scored a few more.

Forest on Saturday will be the real test now
