34,688 on a crappy January evening. Seemed like the sun was shining on that pitch though. We made a decent team look like strugglers. I was only listening on the radio, but we seemed somehow refreshed, like we had had a holiday or something, they really seem unified as a squad. Like the Leeds that started the season, and not a team full of injuries that had just lost 3 games.
Sky might call it spying, I call it doing your homework, and it is exactly what I would expect a highly competent coach to do. If other teams aren't fully informed on their opponents then they will always be at a disadvantage.
It looks like we might be signing a new goalie in the form of Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid

It's a glorious Leeds tradition anyway, espionage Ever since the days of The Don Revie and his dossiers on every opposition player.
What all the outraged pundits seem to fail to mention is that leaving aside all this pre-game nonsense, it comes down to eleven men from Derby going out and playing eleven men from Leeds for ninety minutes and they simply weren't good enough

90s Striker Masinga has passed on, I believe he was only with use for 2 years, but even so, such a shame someone to die so young.

Lampard could look at Chelsea when it comes to spying
Frank Lampard was clearly very upset, with some justification, about the discovery of a Leeds employee hiding in the bushes to spy on Derby’s training before the teams played each other at Elland Road on Friday. But don’t think it is only Marcelo Bielsa, the Leeds manager, who would pull such a stunt.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph in 2011, André Villas-Boas said he would regularly visit opposition training grounds, “often incognito,” for spying missions as part of José Mourinho’s backroom staff at Chelsea.
A 3-0 win against Newcastle in November 2005 was referenced, when Villas-Boas provided Chelsea with a dossier containing 24 tactical graphics. Lampard is entitled to be upset with Bielsa – but maybe he should consider who was wearing the No 8 shirt in Chelsea’s midfield that day.

I suspect a fair bit of this goes on, it's just our bloke was a bit obvious about it and got caught! However, Bielsa has admitted it was done on his instruction (so no attempt to deny it or sweep it under the carpet) and the reaction from the likes of Pochettino suggest the practice is far from unprecedented. Clearly Mourinho had his staff doing that sort of thing when he was at Chelsea so either Frank Lampard wasn't aware of it (which is possible) or, if he was, he's a bit of a hypocrite to come out with the comments he has in the last few days. If I'm honest, though, what I don't understand is why this sort of thing is felt necessary in this day and age? The amount of video footage which is readily available will surely tell us all we need to know about another team's players and style of play so I'm surprised Bielsa thought it worth sending one of his staff to spy on a Derby training session.....

RIP Phil. remember him and the chief joining us together. Sad news.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/artic...
Also read over the weekend that young Toby Nye passed away as well
Sad news about Masinga and even sadder news about young Toby Nye.
It was great to see the club and supporters come together to help fund his treatment, Liam Cooper and the rest of the players became really close to him and his family. It must be heartbreaking for his parents to lose a kid at such a young age.
